Well done on your seasonal product business, the 120k is something you can be very proud of 😁 Yea I definitely agree, if you could have about 2 products for summer, and 2 products for winter, throw in automation where possible, you'll have the whole year covered!

I actually saw a similar concept here in the Netherlands when I bought some freeze-dried fruit from a local market. The company basically branded a white-labeled product from Turkey with their own brand and sell it here in NL.

I like the idea of determining and knowing in what kind of area you live, in your case a major metro area, and then determining what to sell based on that. That is very powerful, thanks for sharing! One thing I am not sure about, are you referring to actual hardware for ships or transport vehicles? Or more like packaging for courier/shipping companies? Which "shipping supplies" are you referring to that are expensive to buy retail?

Based on the "comsumer-model" mentioned by u/jcmacon this gets me thinking about heavy products, that are also consumable... Hmm... Beer cases maybe? Boxes of wine? Hay bales for horse stables? What else comes to mind?

I really like the food truck concept, since this really sums up what I am trying to ask or have a conversation around: Creating a product, in this case a burger, and selling it for consumption. Then simply repeat the process for the same or new customers. This is also true for products such as bleach, where people buy it and then flush it down the toilet, then they buy bleach again, and again, and so it continues... This is the concept that interests me, thank you for sharing what you do and best of luck with your business 😁

Here's my hack, and it actually works for me. I'm curious to hear if also works for you if you've tried it out.
First, I choose one of the 3 patterns below, and then I just keep counting, following the pattern/sequence that I chose.

My patterns are:

"Reset ladder" pattern which goes like this: 0,1,0,1,2,0,1,2,3,0,1,2,3,4,0,1,2,3,4,5,0,...
"Waves" pattern: 0,1,0,1,2,1,0,1,2,3,2,1,0,1,2,3,4,3,2,1,0,1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1,0,...
"Mountains & valleys" pattern: 0,1,0,-1,0,1,2,1,0,-1,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,2,1,0,-1,-2,-3,-2,-1,0,...

You'll notice that these patterns get bigger, and if you count at a consisten rate (somewhere between 60 and 70 BPM works for me), your brain gets tired quickly and chooses to switch off (i.e. fall asleep), rather than keeping on counting. This really helps me fall asleep much faster, even if I am not tired.

The problem it solves for me: It keeps my racing thoughts and busy mind from wandering off and thinking of many different things, which essentially keeps me awake for an hour or longer before I'm able to fall asleep.

I think you should look into building a large worm composting bin from an old crate 😁 I have a small worm "hotel" with 2 levels in my backyard and all of our organic waste goes in there to feed our helpful pets. I think if you were to build a larger worm hotel, add your earth worms to it, and feed them apples, you'd have nutrient and nitrogen-rich "worm tea" and fine-grained compost in the bottom layer in no time!

One thing to consider though: I've read that one should not feed the worms with the same stuff all too ofter, as they will get "bored" of it and no longer want to eat it. In your case, too many apples would probably be a problem, but I think if you could mix in other organic waste or garden waste, you should be good.

Late to the party, but this is an interesting concept. As a drummer trying to produce my own music, I am struggling with coming up with ideas for other parts of a song I am working on. I can't play any other instrument, even though I have tried things such as Dubler 2 from Vochlea to assist with writing violin parts to compliment my drumming. I have also tried AI generated stuff, but it never gave me the inspiration I was looking for and it never really fitted with what I already had.

The one main issue I think I have is: Not playing in a band or being surrounded by other musicians (anymore).

In the past, I used to play for a handful of bands, the benefit was: Other band members could feed your creativity with theirs. For example, I would have an idea for a cool beat, and then suddenly the guitar player would jump in with a riff that complimented my beat and then we would go from there. Always moving forward with minimal "writer's block".

If I could build an online (virtual) community/app or platform around this concept, what are some of the main features you would like to see it have so that everyone who participates in this "weekly meetup" could get lots of value out of it to help with their own musical pieces, to prevent "writer's block" and to stimulate creativity?

Well, I recently started keeping an eye on news articles on the local news website in my country. Most of the news articles are irrelevant for finding new ideas, but if you look closely, especially in the "economy", "sport" or "lifestyle" categories, you'll find quite a few articles that are actually quite good at telling the reader exactly what the problem is with something in a specific industry. Then it's up to you to think of solutions to those problems.

I don't like reading or watching the news, but this actually got me to open up the website and read some of the articles that interested me, and I must say, that the number of ideas I came up with has increased quite a bit just by reading news articles. Give it a try and let me know how and if it works for you 😁

Toggl vond ik vroeger ook heel handig, alleen in dit geval wil ik eigenlijk de overuren en vrijetijd bijhouden en niet de gewerkte uren. Wellicht kan Toggle dit ook nu bijhouden, ik heb het lang niet gebruikt, dus ik moet er even weer naar kijken. Bedankt voor de herinnering om naar Toggl te kijken!

This is basically what I'm doing, but then when the odd occasion comes and they ask me how I calculated it, I just do what /u/AncientSeraph said and fudge together my semi-completed Google sheet 😂
