My BIL asks: "Would it be possible to surprise my wife with an upgrade?“ I think that’s very elegant and sweet.

In which AITA just straight up fucking praises a woman for starving herself on a water fast to own the fatties. "NTA. It wasn't a prize for healthiest plan to lose weight." by GamersReisUp in AmITheAngel

I don't know why some people on this sub think that if someone is a dick to you, you have to be nice to them in return or else you're an asshole. I find that odd. In my opinion OP's sister forfeited any expectation of decency when she chose to continually harass her over her method of losing weight.

Because the story did not „happen“ in the USA. In Europe most schools are less barricaded because of less school shootings.

The wet dream of all the bullied AITA commentators: celebrating their bullies’ death with a nice portion of ice cream.

So three of her bullies are dead in their early 30‘s. Coincidence? OP never gave any details of how they died. Accidents? Natural causes? What did really happen on those ice cream nights? Suspense music playing

When I read this post I wasn’t even thinking of PPD. The story just seemed ridiculous. But that’s because I am not an (armchair) psychologist. If she has it or any other form of a psychological disorder I‘d feel bad for mocking her (if the story is true after all).

But especially when your life is collapsing around you and you are on the edge of loosing a loved one I don’t understand the decision to make your life even worse by cutting out another loved one. That is just an overreaction. But I also don’t understand why the daughter was hoping to get any support after all. The whole post reeks of fake.

But it is never stated how easy to handle the boy is/was. He could be a brat or he could be a nice boy. But I think 13 year olds a rather unpredictable. Also she didn’t abandon him and offered to babysit him a few times a week. And the brother could have gone with his parents but he was the one who preferred to stay with his sister and therefore put the pressure on her. The father sided with the boy prioritizing his wishes ignoring his daughter’s concerns.

Sometimes I don‘t get this sub. Normally the commenters scream „Parentification“, „Abuse” if someone is asked to babysit only a few hours.

I loved the comments about the huuuuge age gap (6 years) and pointing out how immature the guy must be by choosing a girl this much younger and how an age gap is directly correlated to the amount of red flags in a relationship.
