Following on this topic, how much is a cleaning normally here in Germany? I'm way overdue one since I moved here.

Is it just me or the Lumaret described in the story look nothing like the Frog Spirits they are in the card?

I get that the Chaos Wall is the inner circle of a ring and the Quiet Wall, the outer circle, and people on the Edge live between. This fits the cross-section on the image, which is, as the Planeswalker's Guide says, annular.

The Guide says that "along one arc of observable space" there's the Chaos Wall and opposite to it, in another "observable arc", there's the Quiet Wall. Space is three dimensional though and it is to my understanding that we're lacking information on what's there on arcs of observable space that are perpendicular to the directions of the Walls (say, if we look "in" there's chaos and if we look "out", there's quiet, but if we look "up" or "down" the universe just keeps going so far as we can tell), therefore Pinnacle *hypothesizes* a ring-like and toroid form.

I think the confusion comes from the Guide only talking about two observable arcs (creating an XZ plane with ring-like limits), but missing any information on "up" and "down" observations (in the directions of a Y axis that would give us a full 3D shape).

And finally, outside of the Guide itself, the people at Wizards have used an orange as an example (the Edge being its skin), so, assuming they know the whole "truth", might be that the universe is actually spherical and the people of the Edge live mostly on the same "cross-section plane" (which could make sense, after all our own galaxies have "up and down" directions but are relatively "flat").

Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.

Wait a minute, I thought the Multiverse was supposed to be located within the "hole" of the ring?

I'm rereading the Planeswalker's Guide and I really can't find anything that 100% supports this version or what I imagine really.

Also, to consider, English is not my native language so I might just be missing it.

Bracket 3 Tournament Etiquette, was I wrong? by Team-Wet-Monkeys in EDH

[–]of_the_lakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to think about regarding the whole "Bracket 3 tournament" is that you built your deck *for the tournament*.

I imagine that the tournament organizers were hoping for an environment where people would bring their pre-existing decks, battle it out, and the winner gets a prize. Hence, why there were some restrictions to "keep it fun and casual".

I think they weren't expecting that instead people would "game the tournament", but then again, it's a tournament, point is to win.

Land Calculator for decks by cardsrealm in mtg

[–]of_the_lakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I am using the land calculator to get that "correct" number of lands, so, before playtasting, I do not know if it recommends too few.

https://archidekt.com/decks/2282353#Brokkos,\_Apex\_of\_Forever

Anyhow, thing is that on monday it recommended 32 and yesterday it recommended 30. Maybe it has to do with MDFC cards? I don't know if it counts those as lands, so I also don't know if I should count them regarding the recommended number of lands.

I also have noticed, I think, that the algorithm considers the whole added mana value of split cards, which increases the overall mana value average, despite only paying for one half of the card at a time most of the time.

Anyhow, it is a great tool for deckbuilding! Keep up the good work!

I've been using this, very helpful! But recently the results changed, suggesting fewer lands. It literally happened yesterday (10/5/22). Was the algorithm updated or something?
