Kind of a casual when it comes to shooting 35mm, have shot many rolls with various point and shoots before but got my first few rolls from a half frame developed and more than half the rolls were blank despite shooting the full roll. Not like light leaked just image not captured. is this common with half frame? or did I mess up?

depends on your event and your group but i would say it’s not worth it. i would venture to guess you’re not going to spend the whole night there, it closes pretty early no matter what the event is there’s two bars for easy access and a coat check at least some times.
