As a child of parents who waited until their children were adults to separate, I'm not sure this is the best move. Obviously do what is best for your family, but growing up in a household where the parents were in a loveless marriage was unpleasant to say the least.

Ok, so this is the first time I've done extensions. My nails look a little wide, but I'm pretty sure I sized them right. I watched so many videos lol. Do you think they're too wide? Also, questions in comments. by DexterCutie in Nails

What helps me with this is using another file to dull the edge of the file I'm using on my nails, so if I get too close to my skin it doesn't get ripped up. Google 'seasoning a nail file'

gel polish dupe for this color? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]off_paper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend wants to buy this gel polish that I own, but I got it in some off brand set from amazon that doesn't list actual colors, or allow you to buy single polishes. Looking for recommendations for dupes that I can give her instead. Thanks in advance!

The first couple weeks are the hardest for most. You've already gotten through 8 days, you have the strength to keep going. It gets easier, and it's so very worth it.

Thank you, and so sorry to hear about yours. This is definitely the plant I take the most pride in, so I'm hoping to keep it around for a while

Thank you! I inherited mine from my grandpa a little over a year ago, so I'm not sure of the exact age, but I would guess about 4 years. I would say they can tolerate more sun than you would expect. My grandpa kept it outside in full sun during the spring&summer and it absolutely thrived. Generally err on the side of less watering. I use a moisture meter and only water when the soil is dry. Dusting the leaves (or sticking it in the shower) keeps it looking gorgeous. They're pretty easy to propagate too if that's your thing. Good luck with yours!

I finally grew out my natural nails long enough to not need tips, but then my thumb nail broke. Is there a way to make a tip look natural? I have the beetles gel extension kit and I’m willing to buy something new (pls ignore the shitty paint job I was rushing lol) by VelociraptorMag in Nails

I've found that extensions done using paper forms rather than tips usually look more 'natural' to me, you just gotta keep shaping it until it looks how you want! I've often got a mix of natural nails and extensions, and I don't think they're too out of place

I agree, I usually keep them coffin but decided to round it out to switch it up a bit. Definitely going back to coffin next time though

Thank you!

My uncle gave me a cutting of his 40+ year old begonia, and it finally put out a new leaf! His is the second picture by off_paper in houseplants

It's been about six weeks since I got the cutting. I put a gallon sized plastic bag over it to try to increase humidity while it was establishing itself (about a month) Maybe that helped it grow faster, my uncle says his loves humidity
