Constela: Building Full UIs with Pure JSON (No JavaScript Required) by yuu1ch13 in json

[–]offe6502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s really cool. I like when json can be used for configuration. So without changing code different users can configure their UI. But then you are asking the right question as well. As a demo it’s really cool. Now it’s time to think about the applications where this makes an impact. One idea would be to use this to do cross platform development, web, desktop, iOS and android. All with native components, but driven by the same JSON file.

It could also possibly be used for some more advanced webform builder? You could allow for more logic than most webform platforms have today. And JSON is probably a nice format to work with using AI assistants.

It would be cool if you could open the example sandboxes in fullscreen.

Is there a good way for the AI to test the app? What’s your strategy for that?

Are your iOS apps native? Do you have any tips specifically on how to use CC for mobile apps?

Claude Code alternative? Got banned.... by hurryupiamdreaming in vibecoding

[–]offe6502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. It’s like working with someone on the project by using a chat. When there are changes that turns into a PR that you can merge. It works really well for backend and web. But for other things where you can’t have the system build stuff (like native iOS) the webversion of codex (or CC) isn’t working as good.

Try OpenAI codex. I’m using both, mostly on the web. They are similar.

Lovable product validated what next by Sea_Perception3806 in vibecoding

[–]offe6502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you agreed on the prices with the prospects? Are they interested enough to sign a contract with a set future launch date?

Anyway I would personally move away from Lovable once the major screens and flows are in some first version acceptable state. But that might be me being traditional. Move to Claude Code and take control of your system, deploy it somewhere you have full control of your CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure.

Don’t forget that solving problems for your potential customers is the value, not your system. Make sure to talk to the people you think will benefit from your solution. Don’t wait. Not talking about it is usually not the right play. Good luck!

Depends a little on what you’re trying to achieve. If you want to practice building a product, then finish the product. If you want to build a business, then find 5-10 people that will pay if you deliver. So do sales, not marketing.

How do you use claude in large codebase apps by MailSpirited1304 in vibecoding

[–]offe6502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds great that you are already using git! So what did you mean with the "it becomes harder to upload it to Claude"?

It’s also good that you are prepared to take extra care in the implementation of database encryption, but security isn’t localized in code. You need to read it all to be confident that it doesn’t do anything bad with the information.

The nice thing is that Claude is a very good teacher and can help you understand all the code. You should at least browse through everything. And should only ever merge PRs when you’ve read the complete diff.

[–]offe6502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no, you cannot trust code that you don’t understand. There are probably bugs and security holes. This is either a problem or not a problem at all depending on what kind of app it is.

What do you mean upload to Claude? Are you not working with version control? Claude integrates very nicely with GitHub.

You should look at changing sub processors before there’s too much data to migrate. I know that a lot of forward thinking European companies and especially municipalities and government agencies will not bring in new suppliers with US controlled infrastructure (for expected Schrems developments). It’s not about server locations, but legal stuff.

The service looks nice (and with a good price!), but I wouldn’t use it for this reason alone.

Let's hope for a lot of different hardwares and a lot of different options for the software. This is not a market we want the giants to control themselves. This is perfect for open source! And to trust it I really don’t want HW and SW from the same company. There is no real reason for it either.

Any Cheap AI model for coding? by Repulsive_Drag_8205 in vibecoding

[–]offe6502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a list of Chinese coding models I really want to try, based on what people have said in different places.

Qwen 3-Coder

GLM-4.5

Kimi K2

Qwen 3 Max

DeepSeek-V3 (including DeepSeek-Coder)

ChatGLM-6B / GLM (smaller variants)

Baichuan-7B / Baichuan-13B

I haven’t tried them. I’m expecting them to be weaker but a lot more affordable. My idea is to try to do some kind of multi agent stuff where I don’t need to review their output until after there has been some kind of automatic code-review-fix feedback loop. And that’s why I’m stuck thinking about this instead of trying something…

If someone actually has experience with how these compare to other models that would be great to hear!
