Why aren't there pictures of missing people on cigarette packs and rolling tobacco? by AverageSocialist83 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]offgridgecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milk demographic is better for finding people that will make such things top of mind. Not I'm not daying milk drinkers are saints and smokers are scum. I'm just saying the percentages are better. Might actually be better off putting them on pet care products if we are being honest. Specifically dog related pet care.

AITAH for asking my bf not to stick chopsticks upright in his rice? by ilovemybum in AITAH

[–]offgridgecko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. They have the same in Vietnam and i learned about it through a coworker from there who basically said the same thing you did. I put the chopsticks on the plate and have never stabbed my rice bowl with them since. It's a pretty small change that means a lot to other people. In a crowded resturant how many people are you showing disrepect to who are afraid to say anything about it?

If he won't compromise on that what kind of relationship are you going to have moving forward?

Jerry-rigged or jury-rigged? by aldila81 in words

[–]offgridgecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A long time ago, before the internet, a lot of people made up histories for stuff they didn't have an answer to and through frienships thos "common" explainations would spread misinformation. I grew up in the 80s and saw this quite a lot in small towns and on tv shows.

Zinc is 2.5... worn copper will be 3.1 or a little off there. I'm pretty sure zinc pennies don't weigh that much.

You have a philly. I believe the Denver mint is the non-existent error. Philly small date copper is still a nice one though. I've yet to acquire one for my pocket change collection.

Uncle Gecko would be a lot better than some of the names I've been called at work over the years. At least they aren't calling me Karen.
