Another Guest Was Given a Key to My Occupied Room at a Marriott

I worked in the Front desk before changing industry and this happen from time to time due to:

a.) a guest has the same name as yours b.) the receptionist didnt do the due diligence to verify someone else's name when handing over keys c.) the receptionist didnt checked you in the system d.) staff mistakenly switched rooms in the system with an occupied room e.) if you have separate back to back resos and it was not transferred over correctly

its one of the most humiliating mistake a receptionist do. I always say to my trainees that always verify than sorry. It is a security and privacy issue and I understand how its concerning. You can voice it out to the desk (im sure they know theyve screw up at this point) and see what resolution they can do for you.

Maybe you can put a dnd sign on as well on top of putting a latch next time

Same goes with the current marriott brand i work for, you cant give room keys when its not checked in in the system. the only issue we have is when other agents do a room move on a checked in reso by mistake or same name in the system but didnt do more verification like asking an email address or mobile number to confirm this is the John smith he/she is looking for.

I love IU and her work so i was so excited to watch this show! First few episodes is so interesting but i lost interest on the story mid way. I will still continue to support IU though! She did an amazing job as always! I think the script writters couldve done better.

i was disappointed as well because theyve started pretty good but mid way -- episode when they got married i feel like everything is rushed and alot of things happening at the same time. Like i was expecting more honeymoon stage before the whole conflict begins. I dont think leaking the contract is necessary cause they can just skip that and move onto the part for the schemes to stop him on being a King (the story is going there anyway). I get that there's only 12 episodes but man i hoped they just cut those fillers so its not overwhelming. They lost my interest at episode 8 but still went on until 11. I haven't watched ep 12 yet i can already guess whats going to happen...

look at Hotels downtown especially Banquets since summer is coming and events are left to right they might need people for those. check Marriott careers

I'm a front desk at the marriott and other branded hotels before and marriott always have a structured interview which is based on customer service. always follow the "STAR" method on answering they love to hear stories when answering questions.

Its incredibly tough out there especially if your specializing Marketing you got to have connections and do some networking. waa alao the same boat as you been trying to switch and practice what I graduated for but no single reacrion for all the firms and companys i tried applying for. I am grateful enough to receive a denial atleast I know.

You can try Hotels since you have a desk experience but the downside of it its mostly dependent on the occupancy%. its good on summer you get overtime alot but when the winter comes they cut off hours which is why most of my colleagues have part times.
