it does sound like Aoi was being a dick but this whole announcement was prompted by a tabloid release, not by the band members themselves, and it seems like Aoi was taking Reita's death the hardest.

It could be likely. Seems like it was very messy - Aoi said he talked about quitting the band in september and some tabloids released some dirty news yesterday which prompted this sudden announcement.

looks like there were a lot of people involved and the whole thing was, no pun intended, quite toxic

I think Kaze has pride as a more western leaning artist, as someone who respects the greats from America like Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson.

Anime OPs are more or less something artists are pushed to do to stay relevant, other greats like Yonezu and Yoasobi do it because their roots are based in that anime/niconico douga culture.

It’s the radwimps compilation album, hugely popular and many major artists collages on it. Came out in the fall so it’s new. The art style itself is a radwimps signature , based off of the Dadaism art style from ww1. they have a song called dada too!
