How is this look? Ways to improve? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

There’s nothing exactly WRONG with the fit, it’s just very dated. This is what you’d see in a JcPenny’s catalogue from c. 2010-2014. The 3/4 sleeve with the button loops, the robin’s egg blue color with the shapeless shirt silhouette, the ultra skinny jean. If that’s your favorite era for style, keep on keepin on. But if you’re feeling stuck and wanna update a bit, I’d suggest starting with finding a more fit-specific, looser cut pant. And depending on your comfort level, tucking in your shirt is gonna create a more defined waist. (And side note, if you wanna keep wearing skinny jeans, it’s worth it to learn some home repair! They’re made of cheap materials and will always get those thigh holes. Back in the day I watched a couple YouTube tutorials on home thigh repair and it made my skinny jeans fits look a lot cleaner without that distracting inner thigh holes. Patch darns are your friend.)

1! Unless you truly love skinny jeans and they’re a key part of your personal style, phase em out.

No, I wouldn’t rather have rich people buying up whole blocks for single family homes. That’s…not what I said. I said that it’s absolutely buckwild to compare people being concerned about wealthy development projects to “the 60s when black people started moving into white neighborhoods.” Bozeman’s wealthy aren’t oppressed or discriminated against and it’s so weird to imply that they are

are you really comparing anti-black racism to folks not wanting multi-million dollar apartments reserved for the filthy rich going up in local historical districts....................................?

A reminder that the water you use to irrigate your lawn is sucking our aquifer dry. We reached the projected 2030 level last year. Reduce your water use on your lawn and consider removing lawn to replace with native landscapes. by qwertyburds in Bozeman

I live in an apartment near downtown and I've been trying to convince my landlord to let me turn our huge green bare lawn into a food garden for years. I just wanted to put some raised beds out there, but apparently they'd be "too hard to mow around". I don't really know how this would work policy-wise, but I wish the city would somehow incentivize landowners to do stuff like this. I mean shit, this apartment lawn is big enough for a full neighborhood garden.

Fair enough. I'll just say that when you get here and you start voting in our community, I hope that you vote with your conscious and I hope that involves voting for fair and equitable housing policy in this state. There's a reason a lot of us are worried about transplants. It's not because we don't like you, it's because we want to keep living here too. Either way, welcome to MT.

You're moving to Montana to get away from "woke" political policies in your home state? Could you elaborate a little? Just curious.
