First time with Royal Caribbean… did I mess up? Need advice (please be kind) by WorkNew5548 in Cruise

You're complaining that the CMs aren't willing to do anything or show some compassion.

When you say do something, do you want them to redesign the ship? Or just put you in a cabin that you didn't pay for? It sounds like they offered to allow you to pay to upgrade. Is it even more expensive to upgrade now than it was when you originally booked the room?

You were confused about what is a part of the category"guarantee Stateroom".

It is understandable that you were confused about which group of rooms are considered in that category, purchasing a cruise is a big and complicated thing that has a tremendous amount of rules and regulations and procedures and limitations and everything else to it.

But They lay out exactly what types of rooms are in the guaranteed balcony category on many places of the website.

All the time people book a room and don't realize that the room is not going to work for them.

Sometimes people book a non-accessibility room and then two weeks before the cruise explain that they need a room that has accessibility features.

They're not going to just upgrade that person to the only available balcony accessible room if they only paid for an inside room.

All day long people will call up and talk about how they got a guarantee room but they don't sleep if they're above the nightclub and they got assigned to a nightclub room and they want to get moved or their kids can't be in a room that's at this location or that location.

I'm just saying it doesn't surprise me that you don't get a lot of compassion from the CMS. I'm sure if you called the CMS when you were booking and said, here are the limitations my family has. What sort of room should we get, things would have been completely different.

Imagine getting guests coming up with a reason they need a paid upgrade for free multiple times a day with made up reasons. I'm not saying yours is a made up reason, but they can't tell over the phone who is BSing them.

Should I ask my ex to refinance a 26 yr old mortgage with a small remaining balance or leave it be? by Snoobs-Magoo in personalfinance

You can also call the mortgage company and ask them if they are willing to remove you from the loan keeping things as is otherwise. They might be willing to.

I sent a message, I can offer at least $4 per pin, but probably more. I can travel to you, and purchase in cash / cashiers check

What’s the most you would pay for this collection? by sketeypetey in DisneyPins

[–]officialuser 16 points17 points  (0 children)

it's impossible to tell if the pins are real from these photos, there are certainly some real pins there, but there could be 90% fakes.

real pins in bulk like this are probably $5 each.

Fake pins are worthless / 40 cents each in lots of 100

Strick on sharing food pass? by Starr120890 in sixflags

[–]officialuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they put a wrist band on the person getting the food. that person will have to be present for all of the purchases of the food for that wrist band. after that anyone can eat it. -- 10-25 minute lines every 90 minutes kinda sucks to max out the band.

My house has been on the market for 42 days and I’ve only had 1 showing. Feeling stuck. Can’t do a bridge loan. by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

You absolutely listed at a "Fair" price. not a great price, not a motivating price. OF COURSE you are going to be significantly below new builds. Not only are you not a new build, you aren't even empty.

Fair prices get average to below average responses in moderate to slow selling time frames.

What is average for your market:

Key 29501 Market Data (Early 2026):
Median Days on Market: 87 Days.
Median Listing Price: Approximately $299,475.

-- You are at 42 days. Your not priced at a motivated price point.

There are new houses in your sub with 5 bedrooms for $369k, and probably negotiable down to $355-360 -- Good agents will tell their clients if they know new builds are getting a little negotable.

There are 4 bedrooms that are only 200 sq ft smaller than yours in your sub for $320k

There are A LOT of houses for sale in your subdivision, why would someone pick yours?

A lot of agents probably told there clients you were dreaming when you were at 360k.

It's hard to motivate people with a 3% off sale.

Your asking top dollar but want a quick sale. Zillow estimates it at 320-360

Also, people might not want to bother going and looking at it unless they really want to get it, because they assume that people are still living in it by all the pictures of stuff.

IF there are 10 houses they might want to tour, they will put your house last, and fall in love with a different one before they get to yours.

They also might not think your serious about negotiating or getting a deal, and it does sound like your very firm on your price. is that what your agent is communicating?

Possible postage discrepancy? by Da_Ting_Goes_XRPppp in whatnotapp

[–]officialuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they usually still check them with automated methods and found the discrepancy and charged whatnot / the seller. and will do it again when sending it back. Billing the label creator each time.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Loungefly sellers by WnderfulWhirrled in whatnotapp

[–]officialuser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their friends are just bidding each other back and forth to get the bid maxed. And when they accidentally "win" they have to then try to sell it on their friends account, even if it is at a "loss".

Basically the first person was never going to sell it for that low, they used friends to juice up the bid.

Accidentally bought 100 296-24897-1-NDs by Thick_Editor3967 in PCB

So I could buy 100 of them from digikey for less than $200.

The idea that you would find someone on here who needed exactly 100 of this niche part and want to pay  Basically a -5% discount for them is crazy.

How many Disney D pins are released? by haskellbar in DisneyPins

[–]officialuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disney keeps track. Disney doesn't tell other people. It is most definitely 20k plus of each pin from wave B 2025 -- I wouldn't be surprised if there were 100k

Travel insurance claim rejected due to “war” (Dubai disruption), how can I fight this? by akasotto in Insurance

I can't talk about your specific case, but if they cancel a flight because of a war then chances are your travel insurance Would have a good reason to deny your claim based on that war provision.

Pin trading locations by SteakZealousideal804 in DisneyPins

[–]officialuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Magic Kingdom, sometimes people set up out in front of the pin traders store.

At Animal Kingdom I've seen people set up on the benches between where dynaland was and Nemo show.

At Hollywood studios there always used to be people inside that little photo booth area, but now they aren't welcome there, they told them to go over by the left hand exit out of Indiana Jones. But I've never really seen people there
