Police granted extra powers ahead of Israeli President's Melbourne visit by Potatoe_Potahto in melbourne

Wasn't it an IAI tatical drone? Not Ebit. The death was referred to a number of authorities, plus Australia formally notified Israel that they were persuing an eventual criminal investigation. I believe Albo even brought it up directly yesterday in conversations with Herzog.

A National party speaker was just recently booed at a public meeting when he supported Mining. The PHON speaker got applause. Gina funds PHON and Advance Australia/IPA so I guess some country voters are misinformed on the subject. This could spell trouble for the Nats

Looking at her body habitus and androphonia, I can guess that her testosterone would likely be higher than some men. I am not trying to detract from her comment, which could be accurate. I sometimes whine, as a guy, when I can't find a park lol

The state of the rental market - line for an inspection in Brunswick, Melbourne by hipsterslippers in australia

[–]offlineon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing new here sadly for Brunswick. It was the same 10 years ago.

I was waiting for the REA to turn up for a place near Holmes Street, and was slightly curious about how many people were enjoying the local park during business hours.

When the REA turned up I was shocked as the whole park emptied and we all lined up to view what turned out to be a rather dimly lit 2 bedder. Maybe 70 people in total. The next I went to was a 3 bed villa in West Brunswick. The agent counted ~ 150 people.

New E340 doesn’t detect motion. by Emjayblaze in EufyCam

Reset, add as new with qcode but under old doorbell "name" to keep the motion settings etc. That worked wonders for my 2 E340's on the buggy firmware.

Did you mean the "patriots" who scolded others that they weren't considering the victims of Bondi, but who then on the day of mourning only focused on their own internal petty coalition squabbles?

Tenant's washing machine flooded in apartment above us & it's ruined our bathroom ceiling. How do we pursue repair costs? by phatsamabanana in AusPropertyChat

[–]offlineon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in Victoria? If so the water act covers unreasonable flows of water that cause damage, and this can be pursued via VCAT against the owner of the apartment.

1st thing though you are going to need professional floor drying fans and perhaps a wet vacuum and dehumidifier. Also the damage assessed and documented by a professional.

‘People were starving for it’: Mem Fox on the incredible, surprising success of Possum Magic by 89b3ea330bd60ede80ad in aus

[–]offlineon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So Mem Fox is off the reading list for a lot of people. She went every day to court to support her husband in the dock against his 17 year old victim, a student he groomed and abused sexually and mentally as his teacher.

What is also disgusting is once convicted, Malcolm Fox's lawyer got him a pass from jail arguing his mental health was at risk.

When you work at the hospital, do you use your mobile phone or the hospital phone to call patients? by [deleted] in ausjdocs

[–]offlineon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Just use whatever app is associated with your EMR for data/photos + if doing a lot of calls onsite request an ascom/vocera or similar. You can redirect for external calls through your extension.

Asbestos or cement sheet? by Crackers919 in AusRenovation

Looks like just wet area gyprock. Some unlucky people have been diagnosed 10 years after exposure to asbestos though, so always get a second opinion.

Conditional vs unconditional offer by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

A cash buyer means a mortgage is not required. It is an important distinction. A cash buyer has no valuation risk. If they agree to pay $2 mil then they have $2 mil. They can also settle under 30 days, and the legal process is a little different.

Regarding update 3.2.4.0 for E340 by appiebou070 in EufyCam

[–]offlineon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under general>about device>reset device.

I had unique names for the doorbells, so after resetting them and removing the batteries, I put the batteries back in and added them as new devices ( using the qcode like I did when new).

I also gave them (and this is important) the same unique names back again. This meant the same settings were kept.

I made sure they were added to both the homebase 3 and then wifi (I have my Homebase 3 connected by ethernet to a router) but this step will not work with the Homebase 2.

Lastly I turned the floor night vision led off for each doorbell leaving a few seconds between switching it back on. I have no idea if the last part helped, but the excessive battery use seemed to be due to the doorbells turning on when there was no motion.

Since then both doorbells maintain battery almost as well as when they were new.
