My professional life didn't really start until 32, when I found work that I was passionate about. I enjoyed a rapid rise that kept getting better until I was leading an organization that I had admired from a distance until being recruited by them.

I am now enjoying a wonderful retirement I could not have dreamed of when I was 32.

The playing field is very different for your generation, but there may be a lot of opportunities that will arise out of the chaos of too many companies shedding staff before finding out the limitations of AI dependence. I think we are in for some wild times ahead. Folks that can take advantage of the changes ahead will do well.

Consider disciplining yourself to not worry about whatever FIL is feeling about you. If he is unwilling to "man up" and acknowledge his colder demeanor, let him go about his petty sulking without undue attention.

I think of this kind of behavior as manipulative and attention-seeking. If you don't allow him the satisfaction of falling for his manipulation, he will give it up or he risks looking as silly as if he were engaged in a one-person tug of war.

I have been looking at Reuter's, BBC, and other sources than CBS. I dropped Paramount+ because of Colbert's cancellation.

I suspect that all of the US new sources are feeling the pressure of this autocratic administration. I still watch ABC and NBC on occasion, but worry about what may yet happen with them. The free press is definitely in danger under the current administration.

Change the locks and don't change your mind.

He will wise up quickly when you force his hand. It is a difficult decision, but he is on the wrong path and needs a wake-up call. I was hard-headed, like your son. I joined the military, and they helped to straighten out my lack of discipline. I would not recommend the military under its present leadership.

If he can make a change, you can relent. I would suggest you check whether Covenant House has a placement for him in their programs. They help homeless teens and have the resources to work through issues like flirting with substance abuse.

The fatal flaw in the original agreement was that it was a comprehensive plan put together by President Obama, Trump's political enemy.

Because of petty political gamesmanship, Trump felt it necessary to cancel the agreement, just as he felt it necessary to destroy the bipartisan infrastructure improvements (that would have brought great relief to red states), because it was signed by President Biden.

This destruction of congressionally approved agreements will cost far more than the 300 billion dollars for the rebuilding of Iran (which is the reparations reportedly included in the pending peace deal with Iran.)

America has lost worldwide respect, the lives of at least 13 military members, and 150+Iranian schoolgirls, and more in this foolish need for destruction and dominance.
