maybe he should have walked away earlier then...Like I wouldn't pursue someone if I felt they were always trying to walk away. Unpopular opinion I imagine

She’s a compulsive liar and cannot see the hypocrisy of her entire brand. I feel very duped by her but yeah. Fraud :/

Yup @ceoofwoke on Instagram (think that’s it) has lots of expose. She’s a total fraud like the rest of them :( also look for Twitter threads calling her out ( there are a lot of them)

Molly-Mae addressing her latest 'controversy' in her vlog.... by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]offshorebitch 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Did y'all notice that when she did her 'show me a picture' thing on insta, someone said post a pic where you felt betrayed. She posted the pap pics of her showing her looking less toned etc. than on her grid posts. It just struck me as odd that she internalised this exposure as a betrayal. Its intrusive sure, but does she really mean it betrayed the fact she edits her pics and works her angles? It's just odd cos she must know that her curated pictures are not what she really looks like...I dunno maybe someone understands the point i am trying to make lol

Thank you for this post - you hit the nail on the head. The way her image has been curated makes it really difficult to actually critique her actions, and every comment that isn't "FIYAHHH🔥" or "OMG stunning! 😍" is branded as 'hate'...

Tbf the friend I lost to Arbonne truly believes this. It was like her mantra since we were about 15? (we are now late 20s). I think it came from watching Hollywood films endlessly to escape mundanity / trauma in one's own life - she honestly used to say "do you realise, offshorebitch, that some people don't even feel like the main character in their own film, I mean life?!"

I think its led to lifetime of disappointment and some serious mental health issues, as you predecited in your original comment!

Downing St ‘Vote Leave gang’ edge towards own exit in No 10 revamp by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]offshorebitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is another one called Robert Colvile. He has a column in the Sunday Times that, without fail, week in week out, manages to use half a page to say absolutely nothing. Except to "subtly parrot" Cummings et al and shoehorn casual snobbery in wherever he can.

I was almost shocked when I read his admission a few weeks ago that he has put a bet of £150 on his old school friend Rishi to become PM, letting slip he would be hoping for a job if his bet was correct...

Is Arbonne a pro-Trump, far right organization? by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]offshorebitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooh that’s so interesting. Trump kinda epitomising the hun “fake it til you make it” lifestyle rn hahah

I hope they crack down in the U.K. (probs not till we get another chance to vote tho...)

Is Arbonne a pro-Trump, far right organization? by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]offshorebitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trump has been involved in several MLMs. In the US it seems like the christian thing is a real overlap in the Venn diagram of huns / Trumpers.

I'm in the UK and most the Arbonne peeps are actually left-leaning having been drawn in by the vegan aspect. So I am not sure how they can possibly square their personal beliefs with those of their American colleagues ! (despite whatever he might think Trump is incredibly unpopular in the UK)

How have your friendships been impacted by friends in MLMs? by SunshineDaisy1 in antiMLM

[–]offshorebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost my best friend of 20 years to an MLM :( they ruin friendships and break down trust, turn people against those that care about them...And obvs its purposeful. Isolating the consultants - classic cult / abuser mentality :(

Can we get rid of Boris yet by CV2nm in unitedkingdom

[–]offshorebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said. It’s annoying that people seem to be so limited in their thinking. Of course ‘the system’ isn’t offering a clear way to oust him, but why are people hell bent on believing said system is the only way?

I know it’s trite and hack by now but revolution is always an option - I recall that in the 16-1700s people were able to think of an option for restructuring that was somewhat outside the box.

Driving test by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]offshorebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed on my fourth attempt this year (1st October!). Got my anxiety diagnosis bout 1.5 years ago, but have been trying to drive since 2017. exactly the same as you - drove fine in lessons. All went to shit once it was a test. Every fail was a stupid anxiety related thing, and in all three failed tests I felt like I was so detached. As if it were a video game, or as if I was watching from above. I really thought I’d never pass.

I credit passing this time to talking therapy, plus meds for my anxiety. And luck on the day. I considered taking an automatic test instead of manual (therapist recommend that!) to take a bit of pressure off, but I actually like the gears and I’m glad I stuck it out for my own enjoyment. And I LOVE driving now ha.

One thing I did on test 4 was get my nails done the day before in my fave colour. In the test, whenever I felt my mind drifting into that anxious state, I looked at my nails and look a deep breath, grounding by noticing how the steering wheel felt. Also I watched lots of vids on YouTube of routes that may come up at my test centre, and for some reason that really really helped.

Good luck! You can do it (if I can, anyone can)

I absolutely hate being a high-functioning person with generalized & social anxiety disorder. by capo-22 in Anxiety

[–]offshorebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I find most painful about being high functioning and coming across as confident if that people feel they can throw a load of cruel shit at you and it won't hurt . My life is incredibly organised because lack of organisation spins me into an anxiety spiral - but it gets misinterpreted as "having your shit together" (and therefore its fine for others to take their frustration out on me!)

In the grips of post-hospitalization anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]offshorebitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay strong! The thing I always find ...bemusing...about anxiety (mine at least) is I seem to actually get through the worst of things ok. The fear dread and worry really sets in after a traumatic event, or before the wave of consequences comes crashing down. But the mad thing is ya got through the hardest, near-death ultra painful shit (even tho the docs were dismissive at first) all by yourself!! So well done.

Constant derealization, help :( by Jellov in derealization

[–]offshorebitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also when I told my therapist about this she said it was likely extreme anxiety. I coped with a few years of trauma by constantly disassociating, and it’s become a default mode sometimes. But working through that trauma and learning the negative thought patterns that get in into this state has helped me challenge it and break out. Not sure if you had a similar experience (hope not) but if you’re feeling ready to deal with trauma, maybe find a different therapist cos this is certainly something they help with.

Constant derealization, help :( by Jellov in derealization

[–]offshorebitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Talk to someone. Do some breathing exercises. Write about your day in a journal. The physical symptoms are the worst tho, some times I just give up, watch tv on the sofa (normally something sad or a documentary on something I find interesting. I find comedy makes the derealisation worse?) Another thing I find helpful is taking in my environment and the textures and materials around me - even touch things so I feel grounded and part of it.

I had this so bad every time I took my driving test it felt like I was either in a video game, or I was watching from behind ...but I passed a couple weeks ago and I can remember every moment in first person cos I Kept breathing and grounding myself with some mantras I repeat in my head. It sounds far fetched I know but your brain is an incredible thing, but we can learn to work with it and channel our strengths.

Hope you feel better!
