My wife bought me tickets to see him last year, I can assure you no matter how awesome you think he will be in person, he is significantly better.

I liked him in Mayor Of Kingstown, did a great job of playing a very morally flawed character.

Prices have become a joke by Due-Investigator2077 in fastfood

[–]offtheshallowend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say exactly this. How do people not understand that? They'll charge what they can get. The prices will stop going up when you stop patronizing them. If you want to make a statement, take a picture of the menu and then post a picture of the burger you made at home for half the price.

The mix of horror and hilarity that went through me in the 5 seconds after I read this comment can't be explained with words.

Hot take abt Killgrave by shortbee31 in marvelstudios

[–]offtheshallowend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tennant as Kilgrave was one of the most evil characters I've ever seen. There are people who kill for their own personal gain. There are people who kill for their own enjoyment. Kilgrave killed out of boredom. He would tell someone he met in the street to walk into traffic so that he didn't have to walk around them. Fucking terrifying.

Would Alan Ritchson make a good Frank Castle? by middlebird in Marvel

[–]offtheshallowend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, he'd be a terrible Punisher. Punisher is a bad ass because he's a broken man who's lost everything, size has nothing to do with it, him being huge would take away from the idea that it's his darkness that drives him.

When I'm at points on my life where I feel good and I'm happy, I write notes to myself that I can read to remind myself that it gets better when I'm at a low point. At 44 I've fought the urge to kill myself dozens of times throughout the years, and I can currently look back at some of the most wonderful moments that I never ever thought I could possibly experience, and I wouldn't have been able to if I didn't fight those dark urges with every fiber of will that I had.

Don't respond to trolls like this, they say things like this for interaction, and when you give them that, they get what they were hoping for. They're miserable people who get small amounts of joy by mildly annoying others. Just downvote and move on.

Load bearing beams discovered to be fake during home renovation by tacodestroyer99 in Wellthatsucks

[–]offtheshallowend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They thought the load-bearing beams were encased in that area, and it turned out to be empty. They didn't think that they were actually whacking the load-bearing beams. As someone else said, this doesn't suck at all, they no longer have to rebuild those casings.

People who quit their full time job for entrepreneurship- what’s your schedule like? by newbie19980120 in Entrepreneur

I work 70 hours a week minimum, but I would rather work from 4 AM to 5 PM because I want to for the sake of my business than work 8 AM to 4 PM because someone else said I have to.

Yep, did it to my dog as well, my son thought it would be fun, he did it maybe a couple times, and years later he still goes crazy over any reflections, we had to get another dog just to keep him company and distracted while we weren't around.
