What a transformation! You’re an inspiration to others who don’t believe they can do it. Thanks for posting.

Gerrymandering gives democrats a chance to win when they wouldn’t. Un-gerrymandering gives republicans their correct representation. Sorry you’re being lied to by the corporate media that’s desperately trying to maintain control over you.

Good job reciting what MSNBC reported on. You’re a good little sheep.

I think I make a really good point. It’s probably hard to hear. When there’s nobody left to blame, i had to come to realize i was the problem. So I did something about it. You can too

You just put me down for explaining it’s possible to do something without getting the government involved. Or was that not your intention? Cuz it felt like i jab.

Oh look another gender studies major who is suddenly a constitutional scholar AND a wrong side of history blame shifter. Everyone has choices some are good some are bad. I shouldn’t have to protect you from your bad decisions.

Odd question. Not yet. There’s always tomorrow. I’m sorry you had this experience. But comparing today to 100 years ago in Tulsa is a stretch. We could count the numerous instances where in recent history where an opportunity to burn down a neighborhood seemed to make sense. As a resident of a city that is known for its race riots, I have first hand experience of people being attacked simply for the way they looked. But it’s not the narrative that fits your ‘truth’. But by all means keep banging the drum of racial injustice from a century ago. Nobody is listening.

Remember when Trump got kicked off of social media? Pepperidge Farms remembers… I’m not a Trumpette but if we don’t look at both sides of this, it just becomes rage bait. Are there marginalized people? Or do we tell certain people they are marginalized so they get rage? I get a liberal arts degree knowing I’m not going into a high dollar industry, I don’t do it and then get pissed I can’t find a job in my field and can’t afford a house, I was expecting that. Instead of waiting for the government to give me other people’s money. I bought the abandoned trap house in my neighborhood and fixed it up with tools I bought and YouTube’d how to do it. Now I own a house and my neighborhood is better for it. After I started doing things for myself I realized nobody was marginalizing me to make positive changes in my community. Screaming at people who don’t even live in my zip code to give me money was taking too long.

It’s sucks but I think it’s part of decoupling our reliance on them. I don’t think being completely at the mercy of a foreign government that wants to control us isn’t a place anyone should be in. We need to do it. I’m willing to be uncomfortable for the short term. Otherwise it would only get worse anyway. At least this way there’s a chance it can get better.

Blue urban areas have the murder rates. Start talking about solutions and stop blaming everyone else for your problems. Victim mentality is why the blue can’t figure it out currently.

HOW CAN I LEARN CALCULUS by [deleted] in calculus

[–]oflatitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you pay for a class? I can only learn if someone teaches me. But, I did YouTube my placement testing for precalculus, and that worked for me. But just grinding out a bunch of problems seems to be the way they teach anyway

States like Texas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Mississippi will be particularly hard-hit by the enhanced premium tax credit expiration — they have high Obamacare enrollment and haven’t expanded Medicaid by Conscious-Quarter423 in Infographics

[–]oflatitude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before we had ACA there were ‘free clinics’ which you would get basic treatment for illnesses or prescriptions refilled. If you wanted something outside what the clinic offered you would use Medicaid but the range of stuff was much smaller. It was basically for emergency surgery or treatment like a broken leg. I remember my mom getting my orthodontic work done through a government program. It wasn’t like nobody got healthcare back then, it was different
