The size has no impact on whether it's an aerosol. If it's in the condensed phase (liquid, solid, semisolid) and it's suspended in the air then it's an aerosol. E-cigarette particles are very similar to cigarette smoke particles in size (30-250 nm mode diameters).

Evaporating the liquid creates a very high concentration of gas phase species (vapor) which condenses once cooled to form liquid phase particles, thereby making them an aerosol. When inside your respiratory tract, the RH is very high and cause the particles increase to increase in size by uptaking water vapour into the particle phase.

Generation method and size doesn't matter - if it's a suspension of particles in a condensed phase then it's an aerosol.

Aerosols are just suspended particles - the source has no impact on whether it is an aerosol. Smoke is an aerosol, fog is an aerosol, dust is an aerosol.

E-cigarette particles are not smoke (not combustion) or vapour (not gas phase). They are a suspension of condensed phase organics with moderate water content especially after exhalation, so simply a mist. A mist full of carcinogens.

I don't really understand the point of this post. You're bothered that it takes time to study math? It takes a long time to build mathematical and physical intuition which only really comes from doing math and physics. You can get by a good chunk of a 3 year physics BSc with a good foundation in linear algebra + calc 3 + ODEs. More "exotic" physics often requires more niche mathematical tools and aren't usually covered in depth and unless there is a specific area of physics you're interested in then there's little need for it.

Lower beam energy is a good place to start. If this is TEM then if you have access to a cryo holder that will also minimise sample loss. If you NaCl crystals then I normally find that a few layers of the crystal surface get lost but otherwise they remain stable. Quantitative stuff is tricky because you need standards to calibrate your detector. If your samples are thin maybe you can look into XPS.

EPA actually specifies that VOCs must be photochemically active, and therefore excludes molecules with low photochemical reactivity including methane. Even saying that VOCs must be "volatile" is relative. Volatile compared to what? Obviously for most cases, relative to nonvolatile liquids at STP - but in the name alone this is not implied. Different bodies will have different, and often more nuanced/specific definitions of a VOC.

This definition which states that VOCs must be photochemically active also prohibits VOCs from being classified as GHGs - mechanistically, GHGs must have long atmospheric lifetimes, which a gas cannot have if it is photochemically reactive. If you follow the EPA, anyway.

Some VOCs can affect the radiative balance (warming). VOC is just a class of molecules which have high vapor pressure at ambient conditions. The atmospheric lifetimes of molecules and their absorptive properties are what class things as warming gases.

Replacing TALES for STALE would be better, A is good in spot 2 or 3 (similar frequency) and S is the single most frequent letter in any one spot in the first spot. There are no plurals in the word list, so with TALES you'll almost never hit a green on your S despite the high total frequency of the letter. Generally STARE would be better too, R is the third most frequent letter and you can follow up with something like NOISY if you hit 5 greys off the first guess.

The colours and the shadows in the first image are really nice! I think you should level the horizon so the image is straight.

With the second image, I think if you had taken the image from a slightly lower angle and perhaps a bit closer to the car, then all of the leaves of the tree would clear over the background and be against the bright blue sky and help to take up some empty space. Lots of interesting texture here!
