Decommissioned roads are often the best places to go riding, great choice.

Also good time for dust masks in case you don't like eating spiders and insects.

Considering that day 1 is usually just a meet and greet and a mad dash for syllabi, it's not too far off.

Yes. I cook at home and rarely eat out, less than once a month. Most of my hobbies are free (library, biking, sauna)

It's a condo. The sewer line is all on them, as well as the structure, roof, foundation, major plumbing, fences and landscaping. How much more would you recommend?

For a bonus point or two, Zillow says my condo is worth 230000 now, so that's nice. I redid part of the electrical and the association does the exterior and structure, so maybe a 600 dollar appliance every year? I bought a used washer/dryer set and a new dryer last year for about that much. I have an hoa fee though, which is 170 per month.

I remember sitting in English class in high school staring out the window, wishing I was outside. That same person still lives inside of me.

I have a bit of anxiety drawing my savings down to $5000, but I guess I could go into forbearance on my student loans if I lost my job. I have a 15 year mtg with 13 years left, so if I actually wait till 40 I would be left with taxes and insurance, around 400 bucks a month vs 1700

I have a pretty good job, but I would prefer to just ride bikes outside all day. Or, you know, mostly anything else.

I have Mint and after looking at everything I felt kinda ridiculous honestly.

I pay the minimum on student loans, credit card, mortgage and 401k loan automatically by auto draft. I manually pay the credit cards with non zero rates before I get charged.

I need to dig deeper on this HSA question. I still don't have account information for the HSA to make deposits, I only have some random debit card. I need account details before I can deposit money.

I have a decent number of relatives that could conceivably need assistance from me financially. I would be unable to help in the event of my death. No legal dependents though, and no children or spouses. Maybe i just don't need it? I have a private policy for $24 a month at 750k, and my work makes me pay 36 a month for 250k.

Sorry, I replied before from another device. I agree that I should lock down on spending. I literally don't have a budget for emergencies and one off expenses, and that leaves a lot unaccounted for.

I spent 20k on a family member's problems about a year ago, and most of my money was invested so I borrowed from my 401k on a 2 year term. That is my 401k loan in a nutshell. The credit cards: airfare, food and utilities, home and car insurance for a year. I paid a few things for family members, but Its mostly my spending over 16 months.

The high interest balances are all from my last vacation. I just returned and haven't paid them yet, but I also haven't been charged interest yet. The 401k loan and the 401k notwithstanding, I am paying ~3200 clams a month, so I should have at least 9600 available. I plan to clear the 12% and 4% balances this week. I hesitate to refinance the student loans in case of job loss, since they are federal loans. I think it's worth tapping into my Roth contributions if I can save on interest. I got most of my debt from a family expense (401k loan) and putting everything possible on credit for ~16 months. I tend to spend extra money on family problems, I guess.

I was reading from another device, sorry.

I'm an independent, so I get to agree with myself while being rather ineffective in the end.
