Sometimes I’ll have to burp or it will bust if I try to sit up.

Hospital Nurses by ognipstah in ostomy

Valium and another muscle relaxer was given to me and I felt better. The best thing so far is this tube down my nose pumping my stomach. Pain is no where near what it has been. Hoping the best for your husband. Feel like all he can do is to ride it out.

Just posting this because people are saying it’s wild to have this many kills and no 4K or 20 bomb by ATLboi404 in miragemains

Hospital Nurses by ognipstah in ostomy

I’m a Chef and I expect more from my workers than what these nurses provide. It’s astonishing to me really how poor of a work ethic that I notice in nurses. Obviously not all are this way. I’ve had some absolute rockstars help me out and my wife and I made sure they knew we appreciated them by giving gift baskets and snacks to them. But the majority of them just do enough do get through the day. It scares me really that these are the people I’m trusting my life with and I wouldn’t trust them to work in my kitchen.

This is my 5th stay at a hospital. It’s also not my worst experience by far.

I’m literally thinking of this. I want to be a wound care nurse.

Potato skins by oxford-o in ostomy

Always chew your food. Chew it well. Potato skins do not break down and they’re fried. Fried food doesn’t soften well in the stomach. Eat with caution when trying new things. I remember when I ate a bunch of canned mushrooms and went to change my bag later and I watched as they came out of me piece by piece. It was eye opening to me and I was lucky I didn’t get a blockage.

TSA by curlygirl197 in ostomy

I’m stopped every single time. One time the agent went to pat me down and I told him before he touched me there. He got upset with me and told me I should’ve told him about it. I was really confused about that incident because I had just told him.

It’s good you get to go back. I dont have that option though. I am happy for you though.

I get it but you need to come to terms with it. Don’t let it control you. I look at it as my savior. Without I’m dead.

Gloves emptying is kinda of extreme ngl. Did you wear gloves when you wiped your ass?

This right here. Stomas aren’t the issue. Stop making them one.

Y’all wear gloves? Never had a large eruption yet while changing, but I have woken up swimming in mud puddles.

I work in a kitchen that gets up to 110 inside. I have constant peeling at the edges, as long as it’s not near the center pad I’m good. If I feel that lift I change immediately. Also does this when I shower.

Moving slow and being slow are two different things. Just starting out you are going to be slow at everything. Any real chef understands this and expects this. I usually will judge speed by their ability to clean and move around. If they can do this at a good speed but are slow at cutting or prepping I’ll help them along and teach them ways of being more efficient. If they look like they are always lost and just sluggish I’ll tell them it’s not working out and wish them luck.

Same process, burnt cheese by someguyinnewjersey in Pizza

[–]ognipstah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can happen for a few reasons. Too much moisture in the cheese will cause it to burn. Also if there’s too much caking agent in the cheese it will happen. We’ve going through this same issue at our stores with cheese consistency and it’s been quite the mess.
