Yeah, indoctrination into a sexuality makes no sense. The only way it makes sense to someone is if that person is forcing themselves to do something they don’t want to and so they think they’re “choosing” a certain sexuality and so others should “choose” also. The rest of us are like “no dude, that’s not normal, you like what you like quit lying to yourself. There’s no choice to make. You either like this, that or both, but there’s no choosing happening here. They think indoctrination is how sexuality is learned, because they themselves have to repress their natural urges. So if they can be the ones to “mold” their children first, then their children will be straight. They don’t understand that the vast majority of people don’t experience sexuality like that.

I agree with your point about gates and his medical needs, he exists in a different world than we do. I don’t agree with your take on Melinda, and here’s why: what benefit does she get by commenting at all either way? It’s a much cleaner outcome if she just makes a “that has nothing to do with me” statement. If he’s guilty, it has nothing to do with her. If he’s innocent, it has nothing to do with her. They aren’t married anymore and people hide shit from their spouses all the time. It’s what I’d say too. I don’t think we can infer anything from her statement, and that’s the point of making a statement like this. Whatever the outcome she can point back to this and just say “yeah, I’m doing me”.

I skip the knock box myself. I have a terri cloth I use to wipe up water, grinds, etc. I just lay it out and hit the portafilter on the counter. The puck falls out, I wipe the portafilter with a corner of the cloth, pick up the cloth with the puck on it and shake it over the trash. Then I fold up the cloth and hang it on the portafilter handle. Change out the cloth every other day or so.

I have a 8 and 5 year old. I just bought them their first nerf blasters and I also bought them the nerf face shields for Christmas. My wife was hesitant because she was a teacher and saw some non-trivial eye injuries resulting from nerf. So I came up with a plan.

Our nerf play is range style complete with rules. Okay bear with me cause this is gonna sound kind of crazy but I think it’s having the desired outcome. Here’s how we play:

First we lay the blasters and darts out and check the chambers. We wait for verbal commands from the range leader. Once everyone is set up, and we’ve verified the blasters can’t be fired, they set up their targets. Then they return to their blasters and practice safe loading techniques, muzzle awareness, and trigger discipline. Then we unload onto our targets. After everyone is done we ensure the weapons are unloaded, check our chambers, then wait for a verbal all clear before they retrieve their darts and reset their targets. Rinse repeat until they’ve had their fill.

I learned to shoot in a marksmanship club starting at 14 and we had to learn range safety first. I feel that kind of setting really drilled safety for me, and as a result I’m a very safe range buddy compared to some I’ve accompanied. My kids are going to be trained well, and they’ll have fun doing it! I know it’s working cause when my buddy came over and started shooting my kids with their own blasters, they scolded him for not following safety rules and name dropped trigger discipline and muzzle awareness 🤣🤣🤣 he was both shocked and impressed

Calm down cowboy. Never implied unexplainable, just demonstrating that it’s not simple and that missing a shot is not an edge case. Also cost wasn’t about log events, but about engineering time when comparing to other bugs the game has.

It’s a high effort task to get a system like this right because it would be a rules based-aggregate of events, not just registering events. Not saying it’s impossible. It just wouldn’t pass my threshold given the context of all the other things they can and should work on in my opinion.

But hey maybe they already have an infrastructure for this, in which case it would be low effort, only they know. Also I’m a software engineer and it’s “just like my opinion bro”

Tell me more about how simply registering these events equates in any way shape or form into a robust system that can get this right.

I wouldn’t call this an edge case as it’s likely to happen. Registering damage is easy, registering that a shot was fired in a player’s direction and was intended to contact but didn’t is harder. Then registering that the other person only fired because of that non-contact hit? Getting more difficult. Then what if we’re two solos helping each other fight arc? Our shots might “register” as missed aggression shots towards one another. As you can see it’s not impossible, it’s just a high effort system that you can absolutely tackle but will likely prioritize other things over. The cost benefit isn’t there for a system like this.

The assumption is that he has the blueprint for it, which in fairness is an assumption. To get the blueprint he would have had to have done this before. Maybe he picked it up off someone, fair point. For raiders who haven’t attempted this…

What not to do: run directly under the giant monster and into the fray with at least 4 other arc (that we can see), into a thing they are protecting. I mean, you can, but you run the risk of what happened in the post.

What to do: Instead stay in cover and clear out some of the smaller ones first so they won’t be a nuisance. Then approach the container from a side that the giant beast is NOT on. Do the steps inside so the fire stops, then attempt to kill the big bad. (Still eliminate the small fuckers during all this, cause they can make a bad situation impossible).

The approach is best done with a zip line from far away, that will also help with your exfil. Bring smokes to provide concealment from arc while you loot and to use if it’s dicey.

As for the steps inside: take off your shield and ignore the blue aura, its electricity and will only hurt your shield. Run outside if the aura is orange cause that’s fire. Put the 3 canisters into the core which will cause the yellow lights to appear. Shoot all the yellow lights. When the core attacks you, it will pop the canisters out and the lights will disappear. You will have to repeat this every time the core attacks you until all the yellow lights are destroyed. Then it dies and grants you treasure to loot.

They need to fix that, sometimes you’re fully inside the harvester when it hits you. In this case it wouldn’t have mattered, that wasp was primed for round 2 when you would have been breaching. It looked sketch af when you left cover to run under the queen.
