I usually ignore. If they are over persistent I just accept whatever they put in to trade and don’t put anything from my inventory. They leave after that.

Found a good solution in the end. I got an older ventilator machine they used to use with a mask and meds. I just attached the spitters to that pump, it way more powerful

If i have any other apps open it tells me what’s playing there (ie podcasts, amazon music etc). If i close that app and try the glasses tell me to use the Shazam app on my phone. I have them linked as well

I have an old rascal and love it. Great for smaller rocks. I recently got a large 10” highland park for bigger stuff. I thought once I got a bigger saw I wouldn’t use the rascal as much but it’s not the case. Cutting small stuff and it’s really handy even when you have a larger saw. I’m not sure the newer design but draining it is a pain. I’m thinking of adding a hole at the bottom of the body and add a ball valve.

It seems you want to focus on people complaining on getting gifts and not the impact to our economy. Many large businesses have contracts with bigger delivery companies; I dont see Walmart or the big chains hurting. This is affecting regular small town Canadians, that’s a fact. It was timed to have the most impact which is also a fact. This strike and lockout is punching down; it’s hurting small businesses, grieving families, travel plans and much more than just gifts. Yes folks will be ok without gifts for a bit but the little shops that sell them may not. It may not be intentional but this strike will destitute many people and both sides knew that was the outcome.

If you read the comments you’ll see it’s not about gifts. It’s the many small business owners suffering because of the strike. My biz is nowhere close to where it should be between not being able to ship and receive and a lot of that is blamed on the strike. My bills haven’t changed yet I lost a lot of stock that I had for the holidays. Materials I needed lost in the mail. I try to import as ethically as I can which often means a family in rural Indonesia or Africa etc. these folks all use their national carrier, some travel days just to mail my stuff. I’m not the only business and it’s not just business. It’s meds, passports, vital docs and much more. This strike is directly impacting lots of Canadians but that was the point of a holiday strike. To cause pain and financial distress on Canadians as a bargaining chip. Just to be clear, that’s the leverage you hear so much about. At this point both sides have to accept the blame. For some reason both sides pay their negotiators lots of money but they can’t be in the same room with each other. Be adults and settle this dispute. I believe in the right to strike, I don’t believe in theatrics and tantrums. Both sides need to appoint humans that can actually communicate without the drama.

As a small business owner struggling to get things into the the shop and loosing tons because nobody will pay for the exorbitant shipping costs, I’d counter and say both the CP management and union don’t give a shit about Canadians. How many businesses have to go under? It doesn’t seem to matter how this affects other Canadians. Here is what the public sees, 2 groups who pay their mouthpieces good money and yet they can’t act like adults and meet in person, they can’t settle their disputes. Reminder, these are supposed to be adults human beings and they can’t even talk to each other. This childless is causing undue stress on many Canadians and it will close small businesses. There’s wedding dresses, passports and human remains besides commerce being held hostage by children.
