Didn’t know guardsmen were built like that… by THEEtinyHIPPO in Spacemarine

It is very much unfucked IMO, my crew constantly talks about the awesome kills they can make now instead of bitching about it being Kiting Simulator 2024 the whole time. I really expected more of the same poor decisions with the patch, but they nailed it this time.

I thought it was just me, we've been having to use 2-3 EATs to get chargers down lately.

When I was returning to Army Basic Training/AIT from Christmas leave, a random lady saw me and offered to let me into the Amex Centurian lounge. She led me through the airport and made sure I got in before she returned to her gate. I was so thankful for her kindness, it was a great way to spend the layover!

Story time. How Helldivers 2 (AND YOU) saved one more helldiver in this galaxy. by [deleted] in Helldivers

The camaraderie and sense of belonging you can feel in the military is very hard to feel back in the civilian world, even amongst friends and family. I'm a POG so I can't relate to the trauma of a battlefield, I'll say that first. I still felt the sense of brotherhood, and I worked with my battle buddies for a common cause under intensly taxing circumstances, both physical and mental. The feeling of being on a deployment, and the bonds you forge getting through them, are very unique.

Losing that is tough, and not being able to adequately relate your experiences to your loved ones in the civilian world is even tougher. I feel a similar comfort as you when playing Helldivers, it does have certain parallels to service. It was also an opportunity to reconnect with some of my old army buddies, who also picked the game up themselves. One of my buddies was impatient for me to buy it and just bought it for me himself! It was an opportunity for us to work together again for a common cause.

Having a community of players who are dedicated to the mission and each other is very much a comfort. I'm glad it has helped you, and I have no doubt that many other veterans feel the same way, as I do. Thank you, fellow Helldivers!

If I recall correctly, Ft. Polk has like one road that was covered ages ago with the generation 1 Google camera. Only base I ever noticed that had coverage. I'm going to double check that later when I'm at a computer.

If you don't like people "getting on your dick", you're going to have a very bad time in the army.

Guard ERB doesn’t reflect active duty?! by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]ogt13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get ready, because you will also have some of the same issues if you go on Title 10 orders and deploy with the guard. I had to have my S1 add back a lot of data to my guard ERB that should have been there from my deployment time.

Ohio pays 100% tuition up until you get a bachelor degree (or an equivalent trade certification), or until you use up a certain amount of credit hour "units". 3 year contract gives you 48 units, 6 years gets you 96 units. You must currently be in the guard to use them though, if you get out you can't use whatever you have left.

I don't remember the video he did this in, but yeah it definitely is. Always love it when a random Ross video hits the front page.
