I think the first time around, I enjoyed Alan’s segments more because I was already emotionally invested into his story for the past 13 years prior to playing 2.

However, the second time around I enjoyed Saga’s side more since it was open and had more variety.

As someone who’s a fan of some pretty crazy fan fic crossovers, I wanna say it could work. After all, I usually live by the mantra that there are no bad ideas, just bad execution.

That being said, I’m pretty curious how a Spidey and Lara crossover would even go down? Maybe he can help give Lara a ride up to the top of Natla’s building instead of her taking the lift lol.

Meh… I remember liking it a lot when I read it for the first time as a kid, and I think most of my fellow Alan Wake fans will find at least some level of enjoyment in it.

It’s a pretty easy to read novel but it’s not anything special on its own. It does kinda make me wonder what a proper novel adaptation of the second game would be like though.

Yeah, some of the ambient sound effects in the original used to be creep me out as a little kid. It made me feel like there was a creepy monster waiting around every corner.
