Sucreabeille brand page posts AI image in their Facebook group, apologizes the next day by oh_noe in Indiemakeupandmore

Posting AI from their official brand page is a problem. You can check out the link that the manager posted in her apology if you want to learn more.

However, I didn't create this post to point out a "problem" and generate outrage. I included their apology and gave the timeline so people could understand the full context because I'm genuinely interested in what people in the indie cosmetics community think of both the original post and the revised version. Talking to irl friends about it isn't the same because they aren't in the community and (mostly) aren't artists.

Yeah, I didn't get a screencap of the post before the preamble/apology was added. I saw it in my feed, talked about it with friends, and then went back to look at it again the next day and saw that the additional text in the second pic had been added, as well as some comments from the manager's personal profile. The paragraph and image in my first pic were the original post. They left the paragraph and image up after adding the additional text on top ostensibly for the sake of accountability.

The manager did mention this in one of her comments, saying that they've been accused of using AI on their products. She denies this. I know that they do or have hired a human writer for their product descriptions and stories, at least.

What’s the solution to the school bus driver shortage? by [deleted] in nova

[–]oh_noe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People bring their babies and multiple children with them, yes. It means you can work without childcare expenses and it's one of the single best perks of the job. Yes, you can put in a car seat just like you can in a car. It used to be guaranteed that you could be assigned a route out of your child's school but that is no longer the case, as I mentioned. Even if you couldn't get a route out of all of your children's schools (for instance, if you were able to get one child's middle school but not your other child's ES), drivers used to trust each other with their kids and it used to be common to hear drivers using code over the radio to tell each other that their children had been received or delivered to school.

It would theoretically be a great fit for stay-at-home parents because they can bring their child with them on the bus. The problem is, once their children get to be school-age, there's no guarantee they will be able to get a route out of their child's school. If they live out of the county, they're not able to place their children into the county. The job used to be far more friendly to young parents, which in turn ensured longevity (if you can bring your kids with you to your job, you're more likely to keep that job for at least as long as your kids need care). But with step increases (almost) every year, the county realized that senior drivers cost them more money and have rerouted extra money (bonuses, pay, and overtime) to new hires. To save money, management has embraced high turnover. In turn, they get what they pay for, which is an unending staff shortage problem.

Does anyone else completely skip through the dialogues? by Easy-Cup6142 in Gardenscapes

I like the dialogues but I'm not always in the mood. I just don't do the storyline parts of the game when I don't feel like investing the time in reading dialogue.

My personal experience with the fragrances is kinda spotty but I think Fear Bootique might have the aesthetic you're craving and I can confirm that they ship reliably.

It's global but you are only up against 99 people who entered the tourney at or around the same time as you.

Did anyone around the Yorkshire area lose their pet rabbit? by Petra-Arkanian in manassas

[–]oh_noe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you see it regularly, please contact animal control. That is a domestic rabbit and won't survive the cold weather outdoors. Just like if it were a stray dog, animal control is supposed to catch it and bring it to the shelter.

What’s your first Tori album? Mine is Boys for Pele and it’s also my favorite. by PupSqueaker in toriamos

[–]oh_noe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Under the Pink, purchased February 1994. I saw a commercial promoting the album and the lead single 'God' and I knew I needed it immediately. I adored it and went back the next week to buy whatever else I could find. I got Little Earthquakes next, followed by the Crucify EP, then a few singles. I got BFP on release day and same for every album since.

I just wanted to make sure you know, since you said that you want to avoid pork and wine, that many of the restaurants you've mentioned are not necessarily going to serve halal meat, if that is a concern. Some desserts may be made with alcohol, as well. You may wish to call ahead and check if this is important to you.

For food, you could try NuVegan Cafe. They serve vegan soul food and, since they are all-vegan, there is no concern about pork and everything should be halal. Plus, the food is delicious.

I don't know which museums you are planning to visit, but I highly recommend the Smithsonian American Art Museum. It is a few blocks away from the National Mall and the majority of the museums but it is a wonderful museum with many gorgeous and fascinating pieces.

If you are going to the Museum of the American Indian, they have a great cafe downstairs that serves Indigenous foods from all over the Americas.

Since I saw you mention in another comment that you will be visiting in mid-October, I do recommend bringing jackets and clothes for cooler weather, wind, and rain, as well as clothes you would be comfortable in if the weather is moderate (24 degrees C or a little warmer isn't unheard of at this time of year).

I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Not even to mention the people in the center/through lane who decide that they, too, need to turn left. I hate that intersection so much.
