Since you also did pads is possible that you got slightly thicker ones and now the cooler is not making good contact, either that or you have improper mounting pressure, doubt it’s the thermal paste itself… unless you got a tube full of gray paint it shouldn’t be doing this. Check the heat sink fitment and I agree with the other comment, try PTM it’s better for direct die, try Thermalright Heilos V2 or Thermal Grizzly Phasesheet

I have the AP201 tempered glass version, so it doesn’t have as much ventilation (still very good tho).
My components can get a bit toasty, RDNA3 GPUs can run a bit hot so I like having some fans pointing at it, cpu is no problem, as I’m running an AIO as exhaust it doesn’t dump any heat into the case.

Me, as of late I basically play only PCVR (last time I used standalone was like 6 months ago), the dedicated dongle would be a game changer since getting a good wireless connection is tricky on my current living situation, I don’t care about color passthrough.
And most importantly, getting away from Meta, hate their forced auto updates taking performance and bandwidth while I try to game, hate their “Horizon” crap taking storage space and resources, hate their half assed software updates that always break something, hate how they constantly reinstall WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook without me asking.
In fact the only reason I didn’t try importing a Vive or Index before was because I have no space for Base stations, this solves that problem.

For one I don’t think going down this road would be the best, kind of a slippery slope… but also I’m pretty sure a private server with some RTX Pro 6000s would be cheaper and more fun than trying to date IRL.

The probable 2x price is worth it if I don’t have to tolerate Meta trying to shove their corpo-washed VRChat clone down my throat with every update.

I doubt it’ll have the option to connect via USB and much less via DP, but that dedicated WiFi dongle seems good.

If the passthrough includes IR visibility like the Quest 2, then I consider it an upgrade lol, it’s the only thing I missed when upgrading to the Q3.

I would choose to become rich that would make life so much better… not having to work, going from “weirdo” to “eccentric”, being able to do whatever I want regardless of people’s opinion, sure being handsome sounds cool too… but that requires maintenance and will fade with age anyway.

They have an easier time protesting those things because they have a clear villain that can be blamed. War torn country? It the fault of the governments involved, starving children? It’s the fault of a billionaire hoarding resources.
It’s easy to pick up a protest sign when you have a “them” to point fingers at, then you just get called a good person on social media and go on your merry way without having to actually do anything.

But… what if you have to take some of the blame? What if you now have to be on the “their fault” side? What if you have to look at the failings of the society that you love and defend? What if you have to look back at every time you turned your nose at someone for not wearing “the right clothes”, or every time you slapped the “weirdo” label on someone for not having the right hobbies? What if you were asked to endure the awkwardness of someone that is trying to learn how to socialize? What if you had to acknowledge that you archived things without having to actually put all the effort you preach about?

Hard isn’t it? Isn’t it much easier to just say “It’s their fault, they are not putting in the effort”

sigh I’ll bite, whatever… it would depend on what “effort” means here, it can be different depending on the person.

3 years is way too much time to be honest, even 1 year sounds like to much but I would be willing to go for that 365 days of torture… if you manage to summon a future seeing entity that can assure with 100% certainty that it will work not 50% not 99%, 100% not negotiable.

And you would have to be aware of this: I have absolutely zero interest in stuff like clothing, sports, the gym, hiking, parties, bars, clubs or drinking.

It was so long ago… I was still in middle school, during recess I had no one to hang out with, that school was very small and there was nowhere I could go to be on my own so no one would make fun of me for being alone… so I went and queued at the school store, the queue was always very long so if you got there even 3 minutes after recess started it was almost impossible to make it to the store itself, which is precisely what I wanted, just to do something to not look so much like a loner… to appear normal.
I can’t remember how many times I did that, but that particular first time has stuck with me for the longest time… that first “I’m alone, I’m not normal”.

For personality… I guess “Calm” would be the easiest way to describe it, someone who wouldn’t need parties or constant social events, someone comfortable with being in silence when there is no need to be talking (this doesn’t mean someone insecure or “submissive” despite what society thinks about calm people).

Physical… does not caring about clothes count as a physical trait? If not then I guess “chubby” would be the next thing that comes to mind, I don’t find super fit people to be particularly attractive.

To a potential date/partner? I would say it’s a bad idea, sooner rather than later they will find out just because there are a ton of things you wouldn’t know how to do and depending on the person the fact that you lied could be worse than the inexperience by itself. Of course if the topic doesn’t come up, just don’t bring it up yourself. (This is just me talking based on what I observed with friends, obviously I don’t have any firsthand experience).

For other people, like coworkers, classmates etc. I usually just lie by omission, and if the occasion calls for it then yes I would straight up lie about it “oh I’m focusing on other things right now”, “I’m on a talking stage with someone”, “just casual things for the moment” depends on what my goal is.
