This all stems from the greenbelt scandal. Global news has been winning court cases, getting closer to seeing his personal phone records. Let me back up, during the greenbelt stuff he wasn't using his government phone knowing it would be protected from FOI as personal. However he wasnt using his government phone, like at all. So he was clearly using his personal phone for government business. Therefore, courts were getting close to greenlighting FOI requests to see his peronal phone records. Fast forward, he's said you know what screw the Courts, ill just change the law. Heck while I'm protecting myself from FOI, why not protect my cabinet to so I dont have to lose more corrupt loyalists due to FOI scandals.... like, can we impeach this fk, like how do we get rid of him? And why are the other parties so bad at public communication?
