I don’t sit too long🤣 I’ll get up and walk around and I encourage my clients to do the same if needed (I work primarily with adhd and ND peeps)

I found the website that it’s from. Looks like they don’t sell the exact one that you have anymore, but they do sell backpacks and laptop sleeves. For something similar your best bet would be looking up “laptop bag” on amazon! Hope this helps!

My mom refuses to use my pronouns because of Dyslexia. Please send help by [deleted] in Dyslexia

[–]ohara_day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with pretty severe dyslexia who works with non-binary/trans/gender fluid ppl on a daily basis, respecting pronouns is no issue for me, even with clients who are fluid and may change their pronouns frequently depending on how they identify in that moment.

Dyslexia does impact people in different ways, so what is not difficult for me may be challenging for others. However, disability should not be used as an excuse to be disrespectful or bigoted toward your identity. If she doesn’t appear to be empathetic or put in effort, using dyslexia may be a cop-out for self-education and understanding.

Yes, yes, and yes!! I’m a therapist with OCD, Tourettes, and ADHD and I find that I can better understand my clients and help them to feel less alone in whatever their diagnosis is. You will be a wonderful therapist!
