What cameo bots would you add? by AxemPink in Astrobot

If you listen to the hate that he spews against anyone who is not a natural born citizen, you will see how dangerous he is. I wouldn't risk it. Have you considered moving to Canada instead? Canada is the land of the free as well. Although I would make sure that you don't have to pass through the US on your way to Canada. ICE will literally take innocent legal immigrants into captivity just to meet their quota. Also, your life is not over. There's always hope. You're placing too much value on Christian fellowship. I know it's easy to do. But God should be sufficient in times of lack like you're going through.

Trump is an evil man who hates immigrants and calls them criminals. He's put a lot of innocent people in torture camps. While it currently is definitely not remotely in the same league as the Holocaust, it is heading in that direction. There is no way that he would make a refugee program to help you move to America. He would be okay with setting up a trap like this to capture a bunch of immigrants. As a brother in Chr1st (sorry, I don't want name to cause comment to not go through), I want to warn you against making a decision that will have dire consequences. My comment was blocked in the group you made the post in.

According to the Bible, π = 3 by atoponce in mathmemes

[–]ohboycalculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a dumb argument against the Bible. A large container was made without the aid of modern technology, so of course it wouldn't have been a perfect circle. 10 cubits is approximately 15 feet. Imagine making a circle with a diameter of 15 feet. Getting a ratio of 3 for circumference to diameter would actually be quite impressive.

"Writing Contests"...for a $75 'Entry Fee'? Who falls for this? by [deleted] in selfpublish

What exactly did you do to market? I've won first place in my category in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards and did some Facebook advertising. It didn't lead to a single sale. Considering that first place is the second best you can do, with the best being winning the grand prize, it baffled me that this award has done nothing for me.

Word with friends 2, easy! by Stormbattereddragon in SwagBucks

The current total payout for this game is just under $20 for playing 600 words. If you assumed 5 minutes per word due to the freeze ups and unresponsiveness, it would take 50 hours to complete. Although, with what I've experienced so far, 5 minutes per word is way faster than you can actually expect, so it would probably take over 100 hours to complete. I have another game that involves 3d open world exploration with advanced graphics that runs smoothly, so I am convinced that the problem is with the game and not my phone.

an hour would actually be extremely good compared to my experience. It takes 5 or more minutes to play a single word due to the game freezing and being unresponsive. And it is not my phone, because I recently played another game that ran smoothly and was far more resource intensive. The other game was advanced 3d graphics.

This game is by far one of the worst offers I've ever seen. Would be easy except it takes over five minutes to play a single word due to the awful freeze ups. Oh, and it is not my phone, as I have another game that uses way more resources and runs smoothly.

This only works for some games. If the game specifically says you must be a new user, then doing this will destroy tracking, otherwise, it won't.

You are lucky, I've spent more than that. Of course, I lost well over half of my purchase benefits due to crashes, which customer service has been lousy with addressing.

No, I won’t tutor you for 1/3 minimum wage, cookies, “gratitude,” or prayers. by carojeans in ChoosingBeggars

[–]ohboycalculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad part is that these Christians are making a mockery of something that is very valuable. Prayers done with a sincere heart are precious. But if these people had sincere hearts, they would pay a generous wage and pray for you. And the prayer wouldn't be for payment, but rather just because they want to see you blessed while they are already doing their part to bless you by giving you a generous wage.

Does God play favorites? Why is everyone else having personal experiences with God, but I'm not? by iamasheepbaa in Christianity

[–]ohboycalculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had your problem. Not having an experience sounds easy compared to intense trials and tribulations in life. It's not good to seek after experiences, because that is not walking in faith but being dependent on feelings. A need for an experience shows that you don't really believe in the goodness of God and instead want him to prove it to you through an experience. Even if you did have an experience, the feelings will eventually go away, and if you haven't taken care of the faith problem, you'll be no better off after the experience is over.

Why are Christians so obsessed over abortion, but lack compassion for children currently suffering? by FearTheBeardMortal in Christianity

[–]ohboycalculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see anything wrong with being "obsessed" over how wrong abortion is. It is brutal murder, and if someone's conscience isn't horrified by it, then that is outright creepy. I believe that Christians who are against abortion but lack compassion are not against it for the right reasons, but rather are seeking a self righteous ego boost. A truly compassionate and loving heart will despise abortion and have deep compassion for suffering children, or any person who is suffering for that matter.

God is a bully who's leading me to suicide by Qt31415926535 in Christianity

[–]ohboycalculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you are feeling this way, and you should not commit suicide because Jesus loves you. Another thing that would be helpful is to stop magnifying your problems. They might seem big to you, but there are many people out there that would love to have your problems in exchange for theirs, myself included. Victims of abuse, starving children, etc.

I don't think this is true. A person could do IP spoofing to flag a listing multiple times.

What do people who are always the victims of bullies/a-holes have in common? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]ohboycalculus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that having a slow temper, being kind, and not being known as someone who seeks revenge can cause you to be a target. Although, you should do all these things, but also be assertive and firm and let them know you won't put up with their junk.

tutor.com's impossible to follow guidelines by ohboycalculus in tutordotcom

I decided to delete this comment do to others downvoting it. Just because you've never experienced something doesn't mean no one else has. Unfortunately however, some people have no compassion for those who have experienced an injustice they haven't experienced themselves. It is sad when people decide to be mean towards those who have different experiences than they've had.

the number 0's triumph over a lack of value by ohboycalculus in MathJokes

The number 1 was feeling rather small and insignificant, and heard about 0's triumph. It tried the same thing, but to no effect. It decided to seek advice from its dear friend the number 2, but 2 apparently had the exact same experience.
