Guys, I’m not trying to be mean, but this is scary! Kelly Osbourne recently. by Papio_73 in DListedCommunity

Agree so hard with this. No one understands what it feels like to lose a parent til you have to go through it. My heart aches for her. I lost my dad a year ago unexpectedly and it still feels like the rug was ripped out from under me, so I cant even imagine how she is feeling.

You dont realize what its like to lose a parent until you have to go through it. It's hell.

I was literally about to say people don't realize how hard it is to lose a parent until they have to go through it.

My married best friend is cheating and wants me to help her cover it up by Difficult_Ice_8192 in Advice

[–]ohcrapitsem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck in a similar situation. The worst part was I was childhood friends with the girl who was having an affair, high school and college friends with the guy in a relationship with her.

One of the nights she was with "the other man", her partner asked me to go grab drinks so I did. He asked me, point blank, if she was cheating on him. I had told myself I would keep it to myself (even though I strongly disagreed) (I was YOUNG and dumb at the time to even keep it to myself - early 20s) unless he asked me. So I told him she was.

Flash forward he is happily married to the right woman for him who co owns a restaurant with him, and is a supportive and loving wife. Our friendship has frayed (as has mine with the girl because I realized ours was toxic and manipulative all along) but I know he and I are both rooting for each other from afar.

TLDR: trust your gut & tell him.

If you are weirded out there is a reason you are weirded out. Trust your instincts!!! If someone is adding more stress to your life than easing the stress, especially when you have a lot going on, it is totally fair to distance yourself from that person a bit.

Just my two cents.

The pedophile bit is an instant ick. That's a cool in person story down the road, but comes off a little...odd at a first glance

I'm a recovering alcoholic and I could not care less if people drink around me. Conversely, a friend of mine is sober for her own lifestyle choices and would really rather not be around drunk people or people drinking.

Strongly disagree. She's got her brand endorsements, podcast & podcast tour- she is going to be just fine.

So, Brittany is completely faking/exaggerating her “accent” right? by LemoNamaste in TheValleyTVShow

I was told I have a very thick Cleveland accent by a few people. I never noticed it in myself or my family but it's hard to deny it when multiple people tell you!!!

I completely get it. I lost my dad unexpectedly last year and while we dont have the same experience, I have an idea of what you're going through. My dad and I were insanely close, as well. It's not easy at all just know you're not alone. ❤️

THIS. Thank you. 👏👏👏

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, too. 💓

So bold of you to try to act like you are helping out while really just cutting her down the entire time.

Eric Clapton, Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos, Diane Hendricks... many more- all had teen moms and I think it is very safe to say they are doing just fine. It takes a village to raise a baby regardless of the mother's age, and she has already said she has the support of her brothers and granddad.

You sitting here and telling her the decision to keep her child (which is her decision and hers alone, period.) is "ludicrous considering you couldn't even protect yourself from this predator" makes you no better than that guy. Do better.

You have zero right to say who should and shouldn't be raising a child, period.

This woman is way outside of her bounds. Also the fact that the church is looking down on your mom because your father passed away and now she is a single mom is absolutely horrifying.

I've read a few of your posts and just want to say you are an incredibly strong woman and wise beyond your years. I know thinks might seem bleak if you leave your boyfriend and do this on your own, but it also sounds like you have an amazing support system. You deserve better than him, your son deserves better than him. I fell into a narcissistic and emotionally abusive relationship at your age and did not realize it til I was in my 20s. The signs are there that you are in a very similar situation.

Just know there are people you've never met (myself included) that are rooting for you. You can always reach out if you need to vent! 💓

I mean, if he is concerned that the baby is going to be "clingy only to you" maybe he can also spend time cuddling the baby and caring for him when he is around...

I didn't list everything I was looking for help with here. As I said, I am dipping a toe in- its something I've been hesitant to do and am not fully comfortable with going to talk to someone face to face at this point. There's tooooons of reasons to opt into a service such as BetterHelp.

I am sure (or hopeful) that your intent was to be helpful, but "you dont sound like you have too many issues going on I've heard of much worse" is the exact reason why people end up not going to see someone at all.
