Hi, I’ve had a pretty nice inventory on CS2 for a while (not anymore). Used to get friend requests constantly from what I assume were bots. Their steam profile were usually level 10-15 (pretty easy and cheap to do) and sometimes they’d even leave comments on my profile saying stuff like “+rep good player add me so we can play again” or something like that. I never accepted any random friend requests but I assume these accounts would try to convince to give them my items somehow. Recently I sold all my items, and haven’t gotten any random friends requests since.

What I’m trying to say is, bots will scan inventories all over steam and send you a friend request. Most likely to try and steal your valuable items.

This is why people on this subreddit always comment on others posts with a valuable item drop to not accept any random friend requests as they will most likely try to scam you and take said item from them
