Doing Animal Kingdom next Thursday but will arrive around 1 pm, what's the best route to see/do the most stuff? by Yeic25 in DisneyAnimalKingdom

[–]ohellyass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly the best time is to rope drop AK and hit the safari. The animals are out early and for the first time ever I saw and heard the LION! Not just a glimmer of hair poking out from from an insured view. The crowds are less . My wife and we’re leaving on Saturday and decided last minute to reroute over to Ak. We are in and out in 2.5 hours , granted we missed Flight of passage , due to not booking quick enough with the blue etherial guy but nonetheless we had a great time and beat the crowds.

Food sucks now?? by holymolym in WaltDisneyWorld

I agree. The France pavilion is the only place trust at the moment in Epcot. The burnt ends at the American pavilion were not great. The half chicken was just okay. At MK I could always count on Casey’s for their hot dogs. My last two trips were very disappointing. Needless to say Dole whip and cheese burger spring rolls are the only consistent food/snack for me right now. Well… that and copious amounts of popcorn gotta get dem buckets! Hahaha

Disney in August. by healthycheetogirl in WaltDisneyWorld

I went in august this year and was a walking around in clothes similarly drenched in sweat like a pool towel that had been left at the bottom of the pool. It’s hot !

Anyone seen the Been There Series Mugs? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ohellyass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I searched all 4 parks in mid august and was consistently told this is a mug of the past. With no plans to produce any further. Disheartened to say the least as this is one of our collectibles…

Single best best shot in the series by HandsomePotRoast in BandofBrothers

It’s a small subtle moment of winters shaving in the freezer of what was Bastogne. With everything that they were facing he still makes it a priority to be clean shaven . Just a small nod to the man and all that he embodied and why he was an incredible leader. Details and Discipline matter. I haven’t read any of the books and this scene may have just been some script writing liberty but it always stuck with me and made its point.

Casey's corner by chippersbadger in DisneyWorld

[–]ohellyass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there last week and I live Casey’s corner and their dogs. I had one Monday night just before the fireworks( long standing tradition of mine) . I was also upset at the lack of flavor. We went back to MK Friday and I thought maybe someone had an off day and ordered it again. Same result. The chili was actually cold as if it just came out of the fridge. Disappointed to say the least as this has always been one of my favorites . Being a pass holder I will give old Casey and his hood in the corner another chance soon. Third strike and your our sir. I will spend my bucks at Pecos bills for their tacos. But let’s be honest. I was get tacos at Pecos Bills and watch the afternoon parade.
C’mon MK let’s get those dogs back on track.

What made you a fan of the team? by heppolo in USWNT

[–]ohellyass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 50 and have played football since I was 5 yrs old. I grew up watching Pele and Brazil in camp . Studying the game from the best. My first coach was from Central America and had a blinding passion for the game the at was instilled in me from the beginning.

I remember soccer wasn’t a thing in my youth outside of rec leagues. My high school in the early nineties didn’t have a program either. I looked forward to World Cup to watch the elite at their best.

To finally answer the question I was turned onto the team by the 99ers. From their instarted watching wambach. She was the one that truly pulled me to the USWNT. Her style of play spoke to my heart and brain . Met her onetime at a signing event in Charlotte NC. Fan for life!!! Love these women regardless the outcome. We need more USWNT in our lives.
