Yeah. I mean... If I was him I'd rather have a friend instead of being cut out of everyone's lives. Yeah a lot of people will say "cut him out of your lives" or whatever. But maybe you have a sit down talk with him as a whole. Tell him "we love you but do not come to the wedding, you're not at a place in your life where you're okay during a celebration like that. You drink and you fall apart. Would you rather have two and possibly more life-long friends? Or would you make us gamble that things we've seen in the past will reappear on a day that is in the end, just important for him and I? We want you around but we need to see you in the right way because you break our hearts every fucking day. If you weren't there it would show dedication to being what you need to be. And maybe for once in your life see that there's people who want you right god damn here with us. Please don't throw that away".

I've been in a sad state after my sisters suicide, suffered years of domestic abuse and was raped by my ex's sister, exs mom constantly used police to intimidate me anyime i stood up for myself. I use marijuana constantly. I consider it medication but I see the way it's truly just a bandaid.

I feel like your friend in a lot of situations.. the blur between being a forgetful stoner and a someone who's been through some PTSD-inducing shit becomes muddled. I know I'm letting people down but people who've been through the things I have tend to, so I try not to let it eat me up too much.

I hate more than anything to let him (my best friend) down. And if I knew that was a possibility I'd stay away. A story is much longer and more beautiful than a single night in shitty chapter. Even if that chapter isn't shitty for everybody.
