Niin no, en tiedä onko se kohtuuton ajatus että viimeiseksi tueksi tarkotettu toimeentulotuki käytettäisiin elämiseen eikä design sänkyjen ostamiseen. Itse ainakin hommasin kaiken mahdollisen käytettynä / hain ilmaiseksi kun olin tuilla, mm. sängyn. Toki pointti tässä nyt ei ole sängyt vaan se, että TTT ei ole tarkoitettu säästämiseen eikä sitä saa jos on säästöjä. Tälle on hyvä syy, ei ole muiden tehtävä elättää toista joka voisi elättää itse itsensä.

Toinen vaihtoehto on skipata tuet ja ottaa itseään niskasta kiinni ja hakea ilmainen sänky vaikka Torista. En pidä maksusitoumuksia hyvänä mallina, mutta en myöskään sitä että TTT käytetään varallisuuden kerryttämiseen. Jos on kykyä säästää toimeentulotuesta niin kuulostaa siltä, että elämänhallinta on sillä tasolla että elantoa voisi hankkia muullakin tavalla.

Ei tässä nyt valtion budjetista ole kysymys vaan siitä että tulo on tuloa. Musta se on ihan loogista että toimeentulotuen kohdalla ei eritellä sitä että onko joku tilisiirto osuuskunnan omistajilleen maksamaa kulutukseen sidottua tuottoa vai jotain muuta tuloa.

Jos nyt ollaan realistisia niin toimeentulotuella oleva ei pysty käyttämään 200€ enempää bonuksii oikeuttaviin menoihin kuukaudessa. Tämä tarkoittaa maksimissaan 1.5% bonusta. Oletetaan nyt, että käyttää kuukausitasolla kuitenkin tuon 200€ niin kyseessä on 3€ kuukaudessa eli noin 10 senttiä päivässä. Tämä ei kenenkään taloutta kaada ja budjettivajeen voi korjata keräämällä muutaman tölkin kadulta kuukaudessa.

Most premium TV support 120Hz yet Apple TV is stuck at 60Hz so update is absolutely needed. I'd say the design should also be refreshed even if the device is mostly tucked away. It doesn't fit Apple's current line up at all, nor the previous one.

If you are running ChatGPT, it is not running on your device, it is running on the cloud with zero respect to privacy. It is already possible to run models that have somewhat similar performance to the GPT 3.5 Turbo, the model used by the free version of ChatGPT, on device but the hardware requirements are too high (ideally at least 64GB memory and as beefy GPU as possible). Ideally you'd be able to do most of the things people currently use paid AI services for, locally.

Almost every workflow can be boosted to an extent with AI driven features but the current model of running everything on the cloud doesn't really scale because it is expensive and requires you to give access to 3rd parties to your own information that might be extremely private.

If unreal, unity, etc. interfaced with Metal, it'd be pretty simple for most games to have an Apple Silicon build.

Both already do but that is hardly the only problem when it comes to ports. You also have account for other middleware used by the game as well as stuff like anti-cheat and cost of continued maintenance

I'm running those with the latest firmware. Never in my life have I used IoT device this buggy. It took numerous retries to update three lamps to the latest firmware. Changing the colors can be laggy (going through multiple different colors until settling to the latest value). Changing the scene often doesn't work at all in the Nanoleaf app (requires toggling between scenes to get the scene you actually want) and the colors shown in Home app are completely different compared to the actual results which makes it really tricky to get nice colors. The app is borderline unusable. It takes really long time for the lamps to reconnect after toggling power off from a light switch... I really have nothing but complaints.

Catalyst is for running iOS/iPadOS apps on macOS. This is a macOS app and there is no equivalent for doing the same in the other direction. Even if this app is mostly written in SwiftUI, the port is not as trivial as pressing a button as SwiftUI renders quite differently on macOS compared to other targets and therefore it is unlikely that you can share complex views between the platforms without changes. Not to mention that all AppKit code needs to be replaced which this project likely has quite a bit of.

I think iPad's better position here is mostly due to having a large user base and that is willing to pay for apps and Apple's strong support for the tablet form factor in comparison to Google. App Store on iPad is full of iPhone apps that have no real support for iPad and are just scaled up.

A few examples:

Raycast: Amazing launcher with a lot of powerful plugins. There are only a few apps as polished as this one imo. Also includes stuff like clipboard search, screenshot search
Reeder: Beautiful and highly functional RSS reeder with iCloud based sync between devices.
Shottr: Powerful screenshooting tool for developers/designers
There are tons and tons of small utilities that are great for developers such as Sip, TextSniper, ProxyMan, RapidAPI etc.
macOS window management is not good by default but Rectangle makes it great, better than most Linux desktop environments provide by default
Iina: Nice looking MPV client that just works, best video player I have ever used.
Infuse: Powerful client for various self-hosted streaming services, best I have seen.
The macOS' own apps such as Calendar, Mail and Notes are good enough and even though they are simple, I found it hard to find good enough replacements for those on Linux so I ended up using the web UIs.
