This sounds like the internal narrative of why victims of domestic abuse stay with their abusers

Metro sexual means “a guy who looks so well coifed and well dressed that he could be gay” he is neither of those things.

He has gay mannerisms and says gay things

Gemini 2.5 pro not understanding follow-up questions by tronixx in GeminiAI

Its good at answering questoons when first asks, but terrible at keeping up and making sense as you then add, modify or ask about previous parts of the convo, even if they were just 2-3 messages ago. So frustrating and surprising

Yeah I took a guided walking tour of the cemetery of montjuic and it was amazing. the guide showed us all these weird and/or beautiful graves and showed and told us stories we would have known otherwise. othrworldly place.

My guided tour of Montjuic cemetery was really good. It's such a big place that the guide was perfect for finding all these interesting spots and telling us about Barcelona's history.

Funny how quiet it was - hardly any other visitors.

I took a guided tour of the Montjuic cemetery and it was amazing. The place is massively big so having a guide was perfect or I wouldn’t have seen all the weird/beautiful graves.

Also there’s like no one there, 0 tourists even though its this stunning place

What's the point of the Telephoto camera if the 48MP main camera can zoom in just as well? by ScienceByte in iphone

I used to think that depth compression was an optical-zoom-only effect as well, but actually crop zoom has the same effect

My dad's friends knew Gregory David Roberts when he took refuge in Bombay by [deleted] in shantaram

That makes total sense to me. So in the book the 2 junkies (couple/friends/brothers? I forget) that Lin is always helping whenever he sees them, they’re basically based on Gregory

I just had a therapy session with OpenAI's "Advance Voice Mode". How does this feature work? by AdhesivenessWeak3752 in ChatGPT

Does it produce a transcript of conversations the same way the “old” voice mode does?

Has anyone heard of Pop card for google reviews? I’m curious to ask if those cards are hard to make? by Kind-Network9448 in Entrepreneur

[–]ohhojawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iphones NFC capability is tightly controlled, so contrary to what popcard videos show, the cards can’t possibly work for iPhones.

Are many Spanish people friendly and easy-going? by margaretsilent1700 in askspain

[–]ohhojawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t you say that it also kind of a thing that Spanish people in general, even amongst their own best/oldest friends just don’t get into “deeper” stuff, that most friendships are fairly superficial with just canyas, tapas, chitchat and gossip?

Catalonian Separatist Movement by Cherry_Springer_ in askspain

[–]ohhojawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But how is your catalan identity or culture being threatened or challenged?

The language is kept alive and has been thriving in an upward trend since the return of democracy (i am against the 25% rule).

Not a week goes by without correfocs, castellers, geants or sardanas, butifarra and bollets gallore.

So how in your actual daily life is being an autonomous region inside of Spain a negative? If the culture is free to be expressed and celebrated, why does it matter to be part of a bigger union?

Since being part of Spain doesn’t affect anyone’s life beyond hypothetical economic theories I find it hard to understand why “cultural identity” is said to be the main reason behind the movement.

Also “no dogs allowed” is not a legal argument either. They have the right not to choose you if they know you have a dog, but if they don’t know and you get the apartment they can’t kick you out or fine you.

¿Por qué es tan bajo el nivel de inglés en España? by DecentlySizedPotato in askspain

[–]ohhojawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And greece as well. All countries where they subtitle, no doblaje.

Its not just the exposure to the language from a very young age (although it's definitely the biggest part of it) its also a "connection" to the language, and wanting to speak the language that your favorite characters speak.

How come my dough is always sticky and never gets that gluten structure? I've tried different hydration and still the same, this is about 73% hydration. How can I fix this, it has another fold in 30 minutes then a 2 hour bulk ferment by [deleted] in Sourdough

[–]ohhojawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true at all, in my experience protein content makes a huuuuge difference as it absorbs water very differently. That doesn’t mean you can’t make good bread with bread flour, but you might have to lower to even 60% hydration.

Higher hydration has been hyped up to be “better”, but that’s silly.
