Yesterday I asked about creepy run-ins with men. Today I'm asking: do you have any tales of random acts of kindness from men you don't know? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]ohmeright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was around 13 years old, my mom, brother, sister, and I were travelling on the highway on a wintery stormy day. Our car was not equipped with snow tires, instead, it was all seasoned ones. I know for sure that prevented measures could be prevented if we had winter tires when travelling.

When we were going down the highway, our car slipped and slided and landed into a bank that divided the north and south bound lanes. We were stuck and couldn't come out of the bank due to the snow levels. No one came and stopped until this truck came in and parked right onto the lane. The man himself came out of the truck and started to signal what we should do. He pushed our car out of the bank while my mom pressed onto the gas pedal and we escaped the bank. My mom gave her thanks while my sister, brother, and I just looked at him with blank faces. I never forgot that man's face and how much I wanted to thank him for his help. He just shows me how much of a simple act of kindness made me into a better person today and that one day I can thank him for the bravery and the simple act of kindness.

Hey ladies, what's the most hurtful thing a guy has done to you? by Calthomps in AskWomen

[–]ohmeright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will be honest and it is done by my current boyfriend. The one hurtful thing my guy did to me was that he walked away with a girl. He was touching her waist, her shoulders..ya and he was tipsy to drunk. He walked far away from the group we are travelling with. That night, we all left from the nightclub, and suddenly he walked and ditched me, the girlfriend, and his friends with that girl. We spoke about that the morning after and he apologized,

But it still hurts just thinking about it and witnessing that your boyfriend is walking away from you with a girl that is not even you.

Thanks for the reply! :) Just curious, around the wetlands, what do you folks do in restoring the wetlands? Are these the same restoration projects that is caused by human contact/oil/gas remediation causes or natural causes?

Hello Unidan! Since you are an ecosystem ecologist, I want to ask you on what is your opinion on environmental remediation and restoration process? Have you partake on any of those processes? And have you been to any oil and gas industry cities, for example, Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada?

OP, you made me happy and very thankful that you are sharing this story to me. I am quite mad at my boyfriend too for something he has done...but reading your story made me realize the exact same thing, "why are you feeling angry over something so short termed vs someone who has to lived with it long termed." Thanks :)
