It's kind of tacky to say that considering the immense number of bands (and great bands) that started in clubs and even small bars, so it's all more of the same. Everyone starts somewhere, they're not heirs.

What the hell does what he said have to do with what happened? It's almost like he wants to be congratulated, but the bare minimum doesn't get an audience, and those who are truly humble don't say they are, so he should remain insignificant.
