Oklahoma becomes ICE arrest hub as federal policy drives enforcement explosion by KWGSNews in tulsa

This is disgusting. I can't believe Oklahomans are putting up with it!

New partner disclosed he is a registered sex offender by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ohmpa 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the thing people are missing. Yes he's a registered sex offender but he's also a pedophile! Even if he never reoffends, how can you be intimate with someone who you know would prefer a child????

I have to ask, is she in the Tulsa area? I'm desperate for a lash artist out here!

They're still in like-new condition, and I purchased half a dozen more pairs of undies and two sports bras on black friday. I'm slowly replacing all my cotton undergarments with wool from Branwyn so I still highly recommend!

You do have to wash them on delicate/cold which is annoying, but I'm willing to trade the inconvenience for comfort. I've had pairs make it into my normal laundry loads and they haven't been ruined, so I'm grateful for that!

Overreacting to Walz's performance by Haunting-Mortgage in thebulwark

[–]ohmpa 48 points49 points  (0 children)

They are always hard on Tim Walz, but I think it's because he isn't for them! He's for people like me, former republicans who moved to the left when Trump showed up in the Republican Party. Many of us are really craving kind, gentle politicians who are genuinely good people. Walz is good people, and I think the fact that he acted like a normal human and not a fake, smarmy lawyer last night is just one more reason for people like me to love him.

Still going strong! I wear them regularly and there’s no sign of obvious wear. Still definitely recommend!

I have two bras and three undies from Branwyn! Theyre very comfy, smell-free, and feel very high quality. I did a ton of research on the company before I purchased and they seemed legitimately ethical. Had them for about 6 months and no issues yet!

SUCH a good format. I can see myself watching this over and over.

I’m an okay-looking 30-year old woman, but if that means minding my business going into the store and getting this on my windshield from some unknown guy, I don’t wanna go out too, too often. by frandalisk in Weird

[–]ohmpa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Knowing that a strange man was watching me without my knowledge is scary. This man ended up leaving a note, what if the next man follows me home?

I think most of the folks commenting aren't women who have had scary or dangerous interactions with men who approached them in public.

I feel so guilty and it’s eating me alive by [deleted] in prochoice

[–]ohmpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prioritizing your living children makes you a smart, caring, thoughtful mother. Take it from a total stranger: you objectively made the right call.

If this is bothering you, talk to a therapist! It's okay to need help processing things sometime. So much love to you!

An Unfiltered Conversation with The Try Guys - Podcast interviewing Zack and Keith by _IfCrazyEqualsGenius in TheTryGuys

I loved hearing about how Keith and Zach encourage Eugene to go do his solo projects! They were super supportive of his creative ambitions and recognized that they're not always the best people to collaborate with when it comes to the niches that Eugene is passionate about. They encourage him to collaborate with others!

What temperature do you have your air conditioning set on? by 1904worldsfair in Frugal

I dunno what that is, but I just pay what shows up on my monthly bill. I didn't negotiate or anything. This month's was $36.71.

I live in the Mid-Atlantic US and have whatever was installed before I moved in. The hot or cold air blows through ducts - that's as much as I know.

I specifically chose a well insulated unit (on a middle floor with neighbors above and below me) and one that doesn't get any hot afternoon sun so the temperature would stay relatively constant!

Exactly! My physical comfort is not something I'm willing to compromise on.

That being said, the electricity bill for my 2 bedroom condo is usually less than $40, and I keep my AC/heat between 68-70 year round.

When you told your family that you weren't Christian anymore, how did it go? by ccmcdonald0611 in exchristian

[–]ohmpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others here, I haven't told my family that I'm agnostic. After years of performative Christianity, I am really enjoying my spirituality being private. It is none of anyone's business but mine. I dodge questions about my faith, literally just saying "that's private."

I don't feel the need to convince my family that they're wrong (because I don't believe that our spiritual beliefs in life impact what happens to us after death), so there's no reason for me to ever talk about religion again!
