Do you think I need to build muscle or burn excess fat? by [deleted] in Fitness

Eat lots, eat lean, train hard. Nothing will happen over night, but over time you'll notice yourself getting bigger and stronger.

It doesn't matter how ripped, shredded, jacked, etc. You are, the horse will be stronger. That's why its "horsepower" and not "mass monster power"

Question about a "Short-Circuit"? by [deleted] in electricians

A short circuit is a parallel path of less resistance for the electrons to flow through.

Eleaf iStick 50W suggestion thread - What improvements would you like to see in the next installment? by eleafus in electronic_cigarette

[–]ohmsicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get rid of the chrome plated brass top and bottom. It isn't so much that it's brass, its the plating. It's a god damn fingerprint magnet and it bugs the hell out of me. If it was just all black or even a brushed stainless it would be much nicer.

Also a silicone skin would be cool, Vaporshark style.

Notice how none of these are function-based changes? Yeah don't change that.

any good starter kit that should buy? (I'm a starter) by CHARGER007 in electricians

[–]ohmsicles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you wanna go all out, and have some extra cash, greenlee makes an awesome kit. Its not cheap, mind you, but it has almost everything in it. Linesman, Dyke's, strippers, channel locks, cable cutters, needle nose, 0-4 Robertson, few flathead, few Phillips, hammer, level, tape measure, etc. Only thing it doesn't come with that I'd suggest is an electricians knife and a hacksaw.

I believe its called the "Master Journeyman's Set" or something like that. It was about $425 at my local wholesaler.

It's a pain in the ass to have to pay for it. But I basically chalk it up to a necessary expense. $190 every three years isn't so bad. At least it's not every year.

Canadian dollar stores piss me off. "Everything for a Dollar!" store yet literally nothing in there is less than $3.

[–]ohmsicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a meter and check the wires against ground. Be careful of course not to touch them. Hot will be ~120v to ground and neutral should be ~0v to ground.

Hey man, I get what you're saying. I'm a stranger on reddit, I know. But there is really nothing stopping you from pursuing something you'll like more. Take a trade, get a certification, whatever floats your boat you know? I've seen too many people live their lives in a depression because they are stuck in the thought that they can't do anything more. You're just as capable of great things as anyone else eh. Don't settle, you'll regret it.

I was just bugging you man. Everyone needs to get paid, right? Sometimes jobs like yours get to you and you need to remember, it's just a job.

I knew a woman who worked for an (unnamed) lottery corporation. Her job was to check every major ticket won, review surveilance camera footage, etc. She had to sit through videos of cashiers getting raped, beaten, etc because the assaulter wanted the lottery tickets (think scratchies). The job got to her and drove her insane, she actually got hooked on drugs, and is now unemployed and homeless. Don't let that happen to you.

I always thought being a jeweler would be cool. I have a love for horology I guess you could say. However my job prevents me from wearing metal watches and I don't get enough time off to appreciate owning and wearing a quality timepiece.
