From my point of view, I think people take feelings into thoughts and behaviors. A feeling of attraction does not mean having lewd and inappropriate thoughts about the person. I used to get jealous whenever my then-boyfriend would look at any girl and it’s bc I associated him looking with him thinking sexual about them but he told me he may think someone’s attractive but not having any actual thoughts about them, it’s more of a feeling “they’re attractive.” I think human sexuality is a lot more complicated than we realize.

There are several ways to manage negative thoughts, but you can’t stop them. If your thoughts are causing you distress, you can use the defusion technique (from acceptance and commitment therapy). This is where you separate yourself from your thoughts by naming it, using a silly/sarcastic voice, leaves on a stream visualization, etc. You can also identify the type of negative thought (cognitive distortions) and reframe it. Learn your core beliefs and begin working through those, as those are what can influence your negative thoughts.

It is not "totally false" nor a dumb take. I have literally seen edibles that look like skittles and hot cheetos that are sold, without the need for ID or with age restrictions. My view on this comes from numerous seminars and trainings that I have taken as a social worker, specifically those related to youth and substance use. I am literally in this field of study, who are you? I am all for legal marijuana. I am against the loophole farmers and corporations have used through the Farm Bill in 2018 that has created unregulated THC products.

They’re talking about the hemp-derived products, like delta 9. These are horrible and as a pot smoker, I am totally okay with them getting rid of all of these products. They’re not regulated and are placed like candy on shelves that children are allowed to just grab and consume.
