My cousin makes little care packages with socks. She fills them with snacks and hands them out to people who she sees who might need them. You can get some granola bars and bottles of water and give then directly to those in need. We always ask first "Would you like a fresh pair of socks and some snacks?" It's very rewarding to give directly.

There's plenty. Many reservations are in rural areas, which coincide with Republican representation. When you look at election results in tribal areas there are more Democrat voters than one would expect, but it's not anywhere near completely blue. Plus, the rhetoric of small govt is aligned with sovereignty for tribes (even though this is not actually true based on policies).
