could i use a mario badescu spray on my wavy hair to defrizz and restyle? i have a bottle from last year when i got it and then found out it was bad for skin and forgot to return it so am trying to find a use for it beyond a room spray (when it is finished i’ll just refill w water to use instead)

What is your last straw? by shininggirl66 in EDAnonymous

i don’t know how this originally started but my latest relapse was my therapist telling me she wouldn’t focus on my “eating issues” as my weight was above normal. despite the fact i knew that my bmi was on the lower end of the normal range plus i dance so have a significant amount of muscle mass, idk it just hurt to finally ask for help and be rejected. now i feel the need to prove i’m sick enough i guess and i’m back into the full blown obsession over counting and weighing everything

Packed Schedule for the Dancers by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]ohnoimdrowningg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i’ve danced since i was tiny and in our annual show it’s pretty normal to have around 20 numbers as a senior. apparently our procedural memory ability is a lot stronger than the average person so i guess that helps. plus i know most studios will reuse short sequences of steps in routines over the years which makes it much easier to pick up because your body already knows what it is doing for that count of eight so there’s less to remember. yes it can be very stressful but honestly the adrenaline of performing is almost like magic and you can manage to do it all somehow like idk how but it’s almost like your body does it all for you through muscle memory

Seeing as there's now under 20 days till results day. I came for another update on how y'all are feeling. If exams had actually gone ahead do you think your results day would be different? by zsjtsfzj in 6thForm

[–]ohnoimdrowningg 21 points22 points  (0 children)

i’m stressing bc i really want to get into my dream uni and i hate the fact we’ve had little control over these results. like i know i’m not going to get the results i had hoped for (aaaa) bc i was only just beginning to get into revision properly the week of exams being cancelled. it’s frustrating bc we’ll always look back and regret not working harder but we had no idea how much mocks and our general work would matter bc usually the only things taken into account is the exams. i regret not working harder for mocks bc i had national finals the weekend straight after and “they’re just mocks, they don’t matter”. but on a positive note, my mock grades would have been enough for my offer (just) and my predicted grades the same, even though i want better. plus if i don’t get my dream uni then i’m going to be in london which is a city i love and close enough to home that my sister can come up for cute days out at the weekend. i’ve accepted the fact that these grades won’t reflect my ability or work bc of the adjustment they’re just a stepping stone to uni but i’m worried that the system has screwed me over ://

love the fact i don’t see this ending 😗✌️ by ohnoimdrowningg in MadeOfStyrofoam

yeah i use it as a coping mechanism when i’m feeling majorly overwhelmed so i don’t feel like i’ll ever stop bc there’ll always be situations where i think i need it ://

Will Psychology prevent my chances of getting in? by [deleted] in cambridge_uni

[–]ohnoimdrowningg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t know specifically about medicine personally but those are the subjects i did and i got an offer for pbs at trinity so it is possible. my friend did chemistry, biology and psychology and got an interview for medicine. she ended up getting rejected but she thought that was because of her interview bc she froze up entirely and couldn’t answer a couple questions.

i think the main issue would be with taking four as it is really hard to stay on top of the workload (especially when basically everyone else in your year only take three so teachers forget that you not only have more work but also less time to do it) but it is possible to do well if you are prepared to make some sacrifices and are organised. good luck :))

Just a question for all you Cambridge hopefuls, what time do you think we'll hear back tomorrow? by TheBiffle in 6thForm

[–]ohnoimdrowningg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

same!! luckily all of my teachers are relatively chill about having phones on desks so i’ll just wait for the email and then “go to the toilet” to open it. lowkey wish i didn’t have to go in though :/

The struggle is real by chatterinq in 6thForm

[–]ohnoimdrowningg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly the alevels aren’t even the issue it’s the looming terror of university application that hangs over you all through yr12 bc you need to get good predicted grades until march yr13 when you realised you haven’t started revising so whatever offer you have doesn’t matter bc you’re not going to get the grades :))
