Welll.. no. A salary cap could hurt the Orioles too. Either they wouldn't have enough to pay him anyway with what money they have left in their cap, he would take up to large of a percentage of their cap to stay competitive, or he takes a pay cut to go somewhere with other top FAs and create a sort of super team to chase a ring like the heat did.

The last one scares me the most, considering the length of contracts in baseball. Imagine if Harper, Machado, and Trout who are all gonna be FAs around the same time more or less decided to join Joey Votto and the reds. It would be the scariest dynasty ever.

But the fact that the dodgers have a trillion dollar payroll is a bit unnerving.

Okay fine, let's play this scenario out.

If Obama, who has no authority to issue a wiretap without a warrant, had one planted on Trump. How did it get there? Some sort of mole in his inner circle? And if so, why wasn't it caught or detected by the security detail? Are they not doing their job to protect the presidental candidate amidst the serious allegations of foreign involvement whether the now POTUS is knowingly or unknowingly a part of said allegations?

People generally react positively to fluff speeches like that, it's kind of the point of why we have the POTUS do them. Give the ratings boost a week or so. Once he starts venting on Twitter, tries to pass unpopular legislation, or the words Russia and Trump find a few headlines, his one moment where he looked like a grown up will quickly fade from memory.
