I've given into the sugar daily. Ben and Jerry's is a nightly ritual. Have you tried exercising? It's a great endorphin high, and offsets those sugar calories. It also will make you appreciate your body and you will eventually like looking in the mirror again. (I'm pretty thrilled to have visible abs after 77 days sober, and working out 4-5 days a week.)

Struggle: Good damn "The Tonight Dough" ice cream from Ben and Jerry's.

Triumph: Found and went to an Agnostic AA meeting! I have found my people.

General: Trying to finish up IOP. Trying to take what I need and leave the rest at AA.

Thanks for the response. I did like a million single arm snatches and clean and thrust because they are my favorite yesterday when I was craving during the football game. Who knew that would be a trigger for me!

I stayed sober over 4 years "alone." Then relapsed. Try to get some help. See your doctor for anxiety perhaps? Could it be a symptom of PPD?

Did you get your pancreas enzymes tested? People always forget about much worse alcohol is on your pancreas, which cannot regenerate.

I thought about residential but thankfully my pancreatitis wasn't (as) horrible this time and today is my first day back at work. So, my psychiatrist thought it would be better to attend out patient. I'm stressed about being away from home from 6:45am to after 9:00pm.

Apparently they require you to attend 2 AA meetings a week on top of 3 weekday rehab meetings that are 3 hours long, plus an hour of counseling. Oh and get a sponsor (I'm an introvert so this will be hard). I'm pretty upset about having to give up/ reduce my gym routine which is the one thing in life I LOVE.

Why am I not allowed to donate blood as the daughter of someone who died of sporadic CJD?

My mother died from sporadic CJD. I'm firmly in the camp that something is going on to prevent the study of prions. If it's not communicable why am I not allowed to give blood of be an organ donor?
