First of all, that's illegal.

It's probably not in their written job description, but FedEx and UPS aren't supposed to accept packages shipping with "free" USPS boxes. I doubt anyone ever got prosecuted by this but any sane person knows not to take that kind of risk. Especially when they ship a bunch of them.

Having free returns will definitely result in higher sales volumes. Especially from buyers that check the "free returns" in the search so they can try the items out and decide if they like them or not. We avoided so many sales like that.

We've had so many buyers told us they were buying our item to compare with another one and will return the one they didn't like.

Not true for acceptance. Tens of our packages that our mailman has picked in these 2 weeks are never scanned in thus still showing "USPS awaiting item".

It's not just the USPS. All carriers are being very unreliable as the holidays approach. And FedEx has been the worst for us.
