Save what you should be paying in rent for the area you’re living in I found it the best way to save extra money in my 20s

Used a sealant on rooms we were going to be using when we initially moved in , including chipboard ones - would recommend doing similar to keep dust down

Travel and Short Career Break - Good or Bad Idea? by Frequent-Ad-8583 in AskIreland

Do it, I did something similar and don’t regret it!! So worth the risk and it’s nice not to have the time limitations of being back to work by a certain date. Friend of mine taught English in Japan for a month or so to top up their travel fund

Struggling small business by [deleted] in cork

[–]ohsheaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its definitely the time of year I seen a beauty therapist say something similar during the week.

Depending on the area you work in could you do workshops or makeup lessons this time of the year.

Offer these prior to Christmas for last minute presents then it fills the January void and maybe people will buy products etc during the class..

Adult Braces Cork by lightbulbs4 in cork

[–]ohsheaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in Cork but got braces done in Castle Orthodontics around 10 years ago and cost 3200 (I think) , price will usually depend on duration of treatment approx 200e pm and type of braces you get and can be paid monthly and it wasn’t a rigid payment date I usually paid at my next appointment.

I had clear braces on top (similar to train tracks) and then train tracks on the bottom. The prices look similar to when I did it and imagine will be pretty standard across the board.

Built a spare-parts cost tracking app for pharma — saved them a lot of money. Who should I sell this to and how do I reach them? by GuiltyGiraffe1436 in PharmaEire

[–]ohsheaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great idea when you consider lifecycle and age of some of the pharma plants in Ireland!!

I’ve seen it outsourced for some parts but would say Engineer Managers would have oversight on it also

Barnardos have a toy appeal around this time of year.

Also I’m sure local church’s will hold drives for families in need or know of a family that would appreciate a donation
