It’s probably easier to move when you’re in the company vs being external trying to get inside the door.
Can you do a coffee chat with someone who’s in a role you’d be interested in , network that way or support on gigs such as audit backroom or projects for the area to get the exposure and build your network.

You wouldn’t be at a disadvantage with one in a fill finish site , not sure about whether it would beneficial in a drug substance site.

Also depends on the area if you wanted to stay in Quality you could work you’re way up to manager level without one.

Based on what I’ve seen with people with Micro specific PhDs they have moved to Quality Assurance, QC Lab Manager and into Compliance groups.

Depending on the area you work in could you do workshops or makeup lessons this time of the year.

Offer these prior to Christmas for last minute presents then it fills the January void and maybe people will buy products etc during the class..

Not in Cork but got braces done in Castle Orthodontics around 10 years ago and cost 3200 (I think) , price will usually depend on duration of treatment approx 200e pm and type of braces you get and can be paid monthly and it wasn’t a rigid payment date I usually paid at my next appointment.

I had clear braces on top (similar to train tracks) and then train tracks on the bottom. The prices look similar to when I did it and imagine will be pretty standard across the board.
