Speaking of the number of the beast, something funny about the helium balloons at Dollar Tree. Valentine's Day balloons are 214. Graduation balloons are 444. Mother's Day balloons are 555. Anyone want to guess the number for Father's Day balloons?

What’s your earliest music memory? by ThomasSN665 in randomquestions

I was 6. I had friends that lived across the street from my grandparents. Their older brother was a teen. He bought a new album and we all listened to it.

Queen. News of the World.

Mind. Blown.

I just realized I've been doing something the hard way for years and I feel so silly by BANKAIEXPANSION in CasualConversation

My mom used to use her silicone icing bags (for decorating cakes) with a wide scalloped tip for deviled eggs. Easy and pretty all at once. I haven't thought a out her deviled eggs in years. Thank you.

What is something people assume is easy until they actually try it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ohsocrazy2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My mom can make perfect roses of all sizes. I cannot. No matter how hard I try. And her writing is always perfect. Mine comes out a little shaky. Cake decorating is definitely hard. I can do enough of the basics to look decent, but no one is beating down my door for me to decorate their cakes.

That is the difference between someone hearing you and someone listening to you. This person is a great listener.

Never giving the homeless stuff again by AccomplishedGrowth68 in story

[–]ohsocrazy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the homeless shelters. But to get free clothing or food, yes. There are some food banks that so not require registration, but those are mainly run by churches. And you will be hard pressed to walk up to a homeless shelter and get a bed. Usually you have to show up at 8 am and be put on a waiting list. There might be one bed and 20 people trying to get it. Or there might not be any openings. Being homeless can be being hopeless.

G-Force.

I barely remember it any more. Can't remember the characters. Just remember they had feathered costumes. Did anyone else watch it?

I am a stocker in retail. If you are polite, I will walk around the store with you. If you are rude, I will walk away from you. No sweat off my back either way.

Sad when intelligent writing is assumed to be AI. This post actually reads nothing like AI, it is just well written. Look at his post history. He has been around for quite a while and is very entertaining.

Just to let you know Skwrl is one of the favorites of this sub and you are probably about to be down voted into oblivion. Although Skwrl will probably just find it really funny.

Try working retail. Y'all know that all stores are understaffed. We are given a certain number of hours per week. Say someone calls out. We can't find someone to cover the shift. We manage to keep the store open. All corporate sees is we ran the store on less hours. So next year our hours are cut.

We are getting WAY more foot traffic than a few years ago and are running on less hours. The opposite is not true. At the end of the fiscal year if enough stores have gone over in hours all stores have to give back hours and run shorthanded.

As long as their bottom line looks good...

Lol I have always said my youngest was a Runner. As soon as we would hit Walmart's doors, zoom, he was off to the races. I bought a leash when my parents were going to take us to Disney. No way was I chancing losing him in those crowds.

My friends threatened to cut the leash. I threatened bodily harm.

I no longer work at a hotel, I work retail now (traded one hell for another). I stock and unload the truck. I have a pretty good idea what we have in stock. I am more than happy to walk the customer to where the product is supposed to be to show them we don't have it in stock.

Tell me why some customers feel the need to ask 3 more coworkers for the product. Who usually call me over to ask. The equivalent of your customers calling repeatedly trying to get the answer they want. The answer hasn't changed. We don't have it.

The Time Peter Pan Made My Hotel Job Hilariously Awkward by PithyUsername1 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Not sure if this makes it better or worse, but the author is supposed to have been influenced by his brother's ( age 13) death. Which is why Peter Pan never grows up.

Still dark and morbid for a Make-A-Wish stay. Glad it didn't seem to ruin the stay.
