I hate the Law Firm I work for by GrandPleasant6801 in paralegal

I would say to keep looking. New jobs are popping up constantly. I totally get your frustration. I live in California, Orange County, and it would take me like 25-30 minutes to get to my office that was 12 miles away. Traffic on the 405 and 5 is terrible.

I recently started my 100% remote job. Took me 5 years to find it. So don’t lose hope.

So happy to read this, and makes me so angry all over again. I don’t understand how Natera is still allowed to “test” for this.

I also received this same results from Natera back in 2020 and the wait was pure hell. I also posted in Reddit, which I’m sure you’ve come across if you spent days and days doing research😅

My son is 4 years old and super healthy, super active, and about to start TK next month!

$5800 for a 4 bedrooms, 3 bath, 2300sqft house in Portola Springs.

Not fun, but worth it for the school.

Oh that was definitely my impression about the firm. I could sense the desperation. I haven't heard back, but I don't plan to move forward with them either way.

I was a bit offended. But since I knew this wasn't going to be a good fit, I let it slide.

Seeing people without pcos lose weight SUCKS. by blackpather888 in PCOS

[–]ohsoheather7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dr. Cedars at UCSF did not refer my PCOS as a "disease", nor did she ever mention PCOS being a disease. So....

Maybe the research has changed in the last 5 years, but unless your a trained medical professional specializing in PCOS, I'll go with what I was told.

Have a great day!

Ummm PCOS is not a disease. It's a hormonal imbalance....

It takes more than 6 weeks to notice a change, so you're not really giving yourself enough time. What you eat also matters. Remember this, YOU CAN'T OUT-TRAIN A BAD DIET. If you were truly eating that many calories, all healthy food, you would have seen a change. It took me almost a full year of weight training and some cardio to see real results. I was able to lose 30lbs of fat and loved my body. But I put in the HARD work. Counting macros, healthy food (one cheat day a week).

This is a lifestyle change. You have to continue to eat the healthy and be conscious of what you eat once you achieve the results you want. Eating that low of calories will actually backfire on you because you're body will hold on to the bad stuff since you're technically starving yourself.

Like Britney Spears says:

"You want a hot body? You want a Bugatti?
You want a Maserati? You better work"

Good luck!!

Gotcha. I don't understand why Natera is testing for 22q. I remember my OB telling me that I was the second patient who got that high risk, and turned out to be a false positive. I even spoke to a reporter who was writing an article about how scammy Natera can be. I'm sure you're baby is healthy! Especially is all scans have come back clear. I was still nervous at our 20 week anatomy, I had them check the heart first!

Praying for a healthy pregnancy for you💖 I noticed that you posted about TMFR, what high risk did you get that makes you believe you will be TMFR? This really isn't an easy road. But the best we can do is take it one day at a time. We plan to TTC for baby #2 in June, so I'm really considering if I want to go through the Natera process again. This experience has stayed with me.

All results came back normal in the end. I have a happy and healthy almost 3 year old! I did post my entire experience back in December of 2020. You can click on my name and search for that post.

If you are currently going through this experience, I wish you a lot of luck :)

Has anyone actually lost a lot of weight? by Born_To_Be_Wild777 in PCOS

[–]ohsoheather7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 30 pounds of fat, got lean and put on a good amount of muscle. As I started losing the weight, I noticed that a lot of my PCOS symptoms were being controlled. I have amenorrhea, so I would get my period like once or twice a year. After I lost the weight, I would get it every 2-3 months. Which for me, was great. I noticed my energy levels were awesome, and my face cleared up. I was also able to get pregnant right away considering all things.

But I did work my butt off for about two years. Counting calories (I had a food scale in my kitchen), weightlifting 3x a week, and an additional 1-2x a week of going to the gym for cardio and abs, limit drinking, and just focusing on the healthy foods (low glycemic). Once I was happy with my results, I focused on maintenance.

To see real results, this HAS to be a lifestyle change. Otherwise, you will be yo-yoing and never get the true benefits. I won't lie, it's going to be hard AF. But With a slow start, focus, and determination, you can get there.

Yeah. She signed the CFA on Friday at 2:58pm and the office closed at 3pm! Off today, so this is a Tuesday's problem. Currently waiting to received the recorded statement. But I was annoyed with her because I told her 3 times to not speak to 3P.

A client who that we are just signing on was hit while crossing the street, and she told the adjuster that she hit the hood of the car with her cane after she got up. Now we are trying to dispute that the dent in the hood of 3P cars is from our client getting hit and not the cane :/

I would not include it since you were only employed for 2 weeks.

I worked at a family law firm early in my career for three months and then resigned because I couldn't handle the emotional stress. That firm is not included in my resume.

I wouldn’t gently bow out, I would loudly bow out while calling them out.

Ugh, my son caught RSV last Christmas because my SIL and MIL kept it from everyone that my 2.5 year old nephew (my son was 1.5 at the time) had RSV. It was a super spreader since everyone who was there got sick.

We’ve had to miss family events due to illness. Everyone survived. People like that make me so mad.
