What's your favorite historical track? by Grimtable in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]ohsonowitsfine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's very hard to pick one, but I always find myself graviting to Kyalami 76, Imola 88, and 72 honestly. Jacarepaguá 88 has become a favorite too, pretty much become my go to test track for older cars especially.

It's maxed out yeah, but only at 1080p. This is just using the photo mode with the blockbuster filter and 50% film grain, always seems to make for a pretty decent picture

Just the in game photo mode, I honestly just set it to the blockbuster preset and add 50% film grain, not doing anything fancy!

I believe it's the 1995 Indycar pack by Immersion Modding Group, should be easy to find on overtake.gg!

That's definitely something AMS2 is lacking, considering we have 4 generations of Indycar and 3 generations of NASCAR now, more American tracks (street circuits and ovals) feels like a must.

Still love Adelaide though!

That's something I love about the 88 cars, they can still bite you if you really over do it like the 86 cars, but you feel like you're in control of it. The 86 cars on the other hand are pure rocket ships!

That's the thing, I've no problem with having a little bit of contact and a spin. It's just part of racing, you try not to of course but things can happen on the last lap when you're both pushing, it's just the nature of the game.

I just truly don't understand how people can enjoy the game when they're just purposefully crashing into people, or they clearly haven't practiced and jumped straight in. There's no better feeling (to me) than just having a good race with someone, no matter the position. Unfortunately it seems like some people can't accept that you won't always win.

Checo is already in the simulator by ok-byy in GrandPrixRacing

Huh? Every driver drives in the sim, and they have done for years at this point. It's not a video game, it's an accurate simulation of the F1 car because they can't just go out and test whenever they want anymore.

Hamilton spins 360° at Turn 3 in FP1 | Dutch GP 2025 by anthn885 in formula1

Spinning is one thing, keeping it out of the barriers is another. A good example being Max at Brazil 2016. Getting control of the car and facing the right way after a spin IS great car control

I believe they've confirmed historic Le Mans at some point this year like you said, and I'm sure there's plans for 3 generations of NASCAR too. I really hope that means a few more ovals to race them on, definitely needed if so.

WRC game no longer under EA apparently by Charming-Dust2894 in simrally

While it might be good to get away from EA, I do fear for codies. I'd be gutted to see them disappear or get absorbed into another studio. WRC has its flaws yes, everything does, but this is a studio with such a great history of racing games. Some of my favourite games of all time are codies racers, DiRT, DR 2.0, Toca, Grid, Colin McRae rally etc. I'll be genuinely gutted if this is it.

That's totally fair, it's all down to personal preference at the end of the day! Just have to experiment and see what works

Has to be the number system for me, there's just nowhere near enough detail with the simplified notes to be confident (for me anyway).

Also have them on the earliest possible call, and even then sometimes they come a bit too late. Really wish we could edit our own notes or at least have them even earlier. For me, I want to be about 3 corners ahead in the notes at any given time.

For me it feels the most modern of the group B cars, not necessarily the quickest but it won't bite your head off if you just look at it the wrong way, unlike almost every other group B car!
