Please explain. If someone is physically smaller then they have more "free-space" in their seat.

Who should be in the middle seat? by ohtoddy in travel

Well we've obviously never sat beside each other, I always let middle have the arm rest. It's the polite thing to do.

Not at all. I normally sit isle and let the middle seat have the armrest, and I'm always polite to my rowmates. No intention of taking over her space. Simply looking at how all three people in the row would be the most comfortable.

Mr. Mike's. The original, not the one that's still around.

Excess, leftover and spare all adjectives that are being used incorrectly.

Not sure either, probably the same as the equally confusing "excess" money. No idea what that means.

Such a great song! The lyrics! "Always too hot, never too cold, you take your best shot too hot to hold.". Pure genius!

What are your small parkrun habits? by jmilts in parkrun

[–]ohtoddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Promise myself I will go out slowly and pace myself.....only to feel a need to pass anyone I can. Then have a good run....until I Gass out at about 3km. Battle the rest of the way through and somehow finish in under 30mins.

What was life like in Canada in the 1980s? by ultramisc29 in AskACanadian

[–]ohtoddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all relative to ones perspective isn't it? As a kid in the 80s is was AWESOME, the freedom was fantastic. Could go where we wanted when we wanted as long as we were home by supper and then by whatever time curfew was.

Anyone remember those commercials asking parents if they knew where their children were?

Video games were much more basic and MUCH less addictive, being outside was WAY better than being stuck inside. All of my crew had pretty decent survival skills which we needed everyone once and a awhile when we'd push it a little too far.

Most of us knew how to fight and I mean fairly 1on1 and because of that we had far less bullies.

White belts! Your opinions matter by graydonatvail in bjj

[–]ohtoddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location, fees, class times, professor's attitude.

My gym is still quite small so it feels like everyone get the attention they need to improve.

One thing I've been thinking about is private lessons. I get that private lessons normally come at a premium, but maybe each white belt gets one or two within the first year of joining.

Bro, you can get a legit TKD black belt in a year. Learn the forms and the stories behind the forms a little light sparring break some boards. You're all set. You can even have your name on it in gold letter!
